This Disc Golf Basket is still the best available Disc Golf Basket and here is why:
It was hand made and welded by Allen Pier in Kokomo Indiana.
It was called a Spider-3 or Prototype Mach III because Mach II baskets were the latest version at the time.
We called all disc golf baskets "Pole Holes" in the 1970's and 80's.
Notice that it has three rows of heavy duty 5mm chains. 12 outer chains, 6 middle layer chains and 6 inner chains.
It also was the first basket to have No Nubs or minimal nubs. Look at how the nubs of the basket were bent tight around the top rim of the basket then welded. Also notice the heavy gauge 10mm steel that was used and then galvanized.
It disassembles and assembles easily because it is threaded together using 2" outer diameter threaded galvanized steel pipe instead of screws or nuts and bolts.
It will last longer than any of the 2016 baskets on the market at any price. It is built to last a lifetime.
The four legged/footed base is much sturdier than the ring style bases you see on most disc golf baskets and easier to set up level and sturdy.
The heavy duty 5mm chains were not galvanized but only have surface rust, They are very thick and solid.
Notice the extra deep basket too. You can throw your entire bag of putters into this basket and never worry about a bounce out.
It is also one of the best catching baskets you will ever use. We used to use this basket in Clearwater Florida for Ace or Closest To The Pin competitions because it was the best catching basket we had and we had a lot of other portable baskets we could have used.
Due to the heavy gauge metal used it is fairly heavy at about 75 pounds when fully assembled. When disassembled the basket portion is the heaviest part at about 40 pounds.
You are welcome to bring your golf discs over and throw a bunch of test putts before making the purchase. You will love this thing!

I had it shipped from Clearwater to here in 2013 for $100. Fairly well known basket by the now older disc golfers in your area. I had it in Clearwater for about 20 years.
