•Muddy Run Disc Golf Course, Home of the 2019 Amateur world championships. Located within Muddy Run Recreational Park in Holtwood PA, this course is a doozy. Having both a gold and silver layout, allows for multiple levels of skill to play this course, but it leans away from the beginner disc golfer. Narrow fairways, protected greens, and difficult footing are what you can expect throughout the wooded holes, as well as huge distance and major elevation changes on the open field holes.
•The gold layout is a 9,053 feet, par 69 layout, with only 5 par 3’s, 11 par 4’s and 2 par 5’s, and over 700 feet of elevation change. This course will challenge event the most strong legged disc golfers.
•A championship level course to say the least, Muddy Run has the quality, challenge, upkeep, and infrastructure to house high level tournaments. The course itself is very demanding both in the woods with its, tight lines and need for decisions to be made on almost every hole, as well as the distance required to score on the open field holes. The elevation also requires you to have the stamina to get through the entire course and not let your game fall apart.
•Along with the beautiful scenery, I would say that Muddy run is one of, if not the best course in the area.
