Hello Everyone (Waitlisters Included for informational purposes),
Thank you for signing up for The Inaugural Carlson Classic presented by The Jack Petteys Memorial Foundation and the Joslin/Needham Family Foundation Administered by The Farmers State Bank of Brush!
We are just a few short days away from this celebration of Wayne Carlson and all he has given to the community over the years! We are very excited to have you all out for a day of fun competition and cheer!
A few notes for this weekend:
- Friday we will be out getting Watrous set up in the 18 hole extended layout: It will stay up for practice rounds so long as weather cooperates.
-The Course @ Petteys Park will ONLY be available to play during the 2nd round Saturday. ALL players will be going in blind, no practice rounds will be offered. This has been listed on the event page since registration was opened.
-Check in will run from 7:45am-8:45am Saturday morning at Watrous DGC, We will be set up near the parking lot at Beaver Valley Elementary school. All players need to check in, we will have DETAILED caddy books for all players to cover the course rules as well. This is a trophy only event for all ams, and payouts for professional divisions will be completed via paypal.
-Round 1 is estimated to start at 9am, 2 Minutes will be shouted by the TD ONLY when we are situated for round 1 to commence.
-Scoring will be done by 2 players utilizing the PDGA.com/Score digital card, passcode CARLSON
-There will be a 1 hour-ish lunch (Officials start time will be posted on PDGA page linked below), We will have a small ceremony during the lunch period. The Course at Petteys is donating lunch for all players. They will have burgers and brats available for players! They will also have other options available for sale on site. Please consider supporting them as they are a major sponsor of the event! SPECIAL NOTICE, NO SUNFLOWER SEEDS allowed at The Course at Petteys, please make mental note to NOT bring sunflower seeds as a snack
-Please see attached maps as they will give you a general sense of the courses we will be playing this weekend.
-Yes, we know weather is in the forecast. The good news is right now Brush is not slated for the moisture that Denver and the Mountains are going to get. I will keep doing my anti rain/snow dance and we will keep the positive vibes up for this weekend!!
-Starting holes will be posted HERE Thursday night around 8pm.
-I will likely have one more small informational email to go out Friday night, but for now we have the bulk of information covered!
- Special shout out and thank you to Erik Tribelhorn for his hours of work getting maps, rules, tee signs, and so much more together. Thank you so much!
