About this tournament

Due to not being able to get this approved by the ODNR in a reasonable time before this event is going to happen, I have decided to cancel this tournament.

Sanction has been approved. We are working through the approval with the Park. First problem is they are nit picking the PDGA insurance certificate, and word out of the ODNR is they are just doing blanket non-approvals. The FoP is still attempting to get this approved. I'm very upset about this.

Call it a protest. Protests are officially exempt, per the Governor and Ms Acton

That isn't a problem Greg. Is the tee times the problem, or just everything else around the tournament that we have to adhere to?

Understand that this will be a very different tournament that what any of us are used to. We have to adhere to some strict guidelines. You must not get to the course more than 10 minutes before your scheduled tee time. If you need to warm up, find someplace else to do it.

You must be ready to tee off at your scheduled time. If you are late, standard par+4 scoring will be in effect.

You are NOT to congregate at the course. You are responsible for your own food and water the entire day. ... more

I understood perfectly.

I know the conversation has been over for a few days, but as a TD in Ohio we have been told no shotgun starts for pdga events. Failure to comply with pdga regs could lead to as much as a two year suspension.

I misunderstood, I didn't realize it was a COVID19 requirement. I just assumed the 6' rule would be in place which isn't hard to do on the course. I was just reading all the regulations and just found that the "shotgun starts are prohibited" buried in the golf course requirements (which a business I work for also has to follow). Hopefully everything runs smoothly with the tee times. #mybad LOL

We are officially full. With that being said, let me describe how we will move forward. I will create a wait list. However, I WILL NOT add anyone morning of the tournament, so if you are not going to show up, notify me ASAP.

The registration list will be locked at 8PM June 12. I will then create the tee time assignments. Everyone has to remember, this is new territory, I cannot have people hanging out at the course hoping to get in, so if you do not have a tee time the Friday night before, you will not be playing.
