There has been a lot of growth on the course in the last month or two with all the rain, which will be cleaned up in the coming month. The course was not designed to test someone’s arm strength, but more a player’s accuracy. Many of the throwing lanes are very thin in comparison to typical Florida holes, but balanced out by their shorter length. It acts as a complement to the other two courses at Bill Frederick - Original, which is more wide open, and T2 which is more challenging with a par 60.

Awesome. I cant wait for this course to get a little cleaned up. The weather has been crazy down there for sure and i know its hard to tame such a large piece of land. This tournament is going to be cool. Cant wait!!

First off...happy to have you make the trip! www.SoutheaseternAmateurChampionship has the course order - it has not been updated from last year with exception to changing out for The Woods course. Advanced will play all long tees and the baskets will be in a mix of placements, with about a 60/40 favoring in the long positions. Much of the Original and T2 courses at Bill Frederick baskets are set more short right now. The Woods at Bill Frederick is in its SAC positions. Over at Barnett, Parkside will be getting a revamp that will take it back to generally it's historical layout now that the construction is complete. That means holes 3-5 will not be there for the event. The North course should be close, although I have not looked at basket positions in a while over there.

We have tried junior divisions before and never had enough participation to open the division. If you happen to know of at least three juniors that qualify in the same division we can look at opening up that division. Please be advised if the division opens, there will need to be an adult (one that preferably know the rules) that follows the group as they play.

Also please be aware that there may not be our standard trophy unless we get the third player before we make the trophy order, about a month out from the event. If we get three after that time span I'll create something for first place.

Is the TD in charge of chaperoning the kids or is that on the guardians? Also is it required to add short pads for juniors or do they play from what is already there?

The junior only division was added after the fact at a request. Unforetunately for the division to be opened a few concessions will need to be made. Juniors will need to provide their own chaperone but only one needed per card. There will not be any special pads installed as there are ffve courses in the event and it's just not feasible. Juniors will play from the short pads just like Rec. Also, like Rec it is a trophy only division, in this case first place only. Rec and juniors will onl;y play 4 rounds on Sat and Sun and not the 5th round the rest of divisions play. All participants will recieve a players package worth more than the entrance fee. Oh and Logan you may not have seen that as an A-tier event ALL players are required to be members of the PDGA.

Logan, I wrote on this post that our club will provide something so that all 3 or 4 who sign up will receive some type of prize for participating and competing for 4 rounds. We got this, no biggie or sacrifice to support the future of the sport.

Great, we'll have to develop what courses and pads they play as we won't be able to create junior pads on all the courses. BFP@TL T-2 course already can accommodate and The Woods plays short but real tight. And as mentioned, there will need to be one adult that follows the group.

Also, remember that all players have to be PDGA members as it's an A-tier

Both kids already are PDGA current....Maybe just open the division and see how many sign up....If not enough, then throw them into Rec as the only other solution...
