Disc golf singles tournament
About this tournament
Tournament Announcement: 1st round will be tied in with the Sunday "church" league and it will count for points in the MICPS. Thanks to Foz, Chris Gee and the Schooleys for helping to make this happen.
The tournament will have the typical divisions: Pro, AM1, AM2, etc... The MICPS points pools will be separated into two: Pro/AM1 and AM2/AM3/AM4/everyone else..
The 2nd round will be for the tournament only, no MICPS points.
We will most likely add some cash to the pro division, we'll make the call based on turnout on Sunday. CHA!! less

being a smaller tournament, am2 shorts-longs should not be a time issue. It's a test of all skills playing both sets, adds tons of challenge and fits the definition of the division.... you know between am3 and am1. I quietly and respectfully protest 2 rounds of shorts. .02

Only the first round counts for points, so you could DNF after round 1 to get the points. To be eligible for a payout though you have to finish the tournament.

Not saying I don't like it I will be there. Jw if I have to play both to get the points. Clearly not playing at a tournament level but I'm playing this one just for those points. Cha.

Oh yea, the first two DGLO series tournaments counted in the A2CoPS Winter.. That was a test to see if we could include tournaments in the point series.. Mixed opinions on that one.

"This is the first and only time I've heard of points for a tournament solo round."
Yes, this is true. It was my idea to try to combine a league and tournament together. Roc and Rolling is usually the testbed for the 101 to try out new ideas, not just run another two round tournament. Foz, Chris Gee and the Schooley's are to thank for being open to trying this out. Maybe it will catch on with other tournaments, maybe not.. At least it's points right? Some are better than none.

this it not the first time i've heard of it.

I am not complaining, just asking. This is the first and only time I've heard of points for a tournament solo round.

Can you play just round #1 (lesser entry fee) just for Church points? I don't like the idea of it being tied to Church points if you have to pay 20$ and play all day, with many more entrants in the lower pool also.
