About this tournament
The 2021 North Dakota Amateur State Championship is quickly approaching. Included here is a virtual players meeting, hole details, and course map for next weekend.

This is a PDGA sanctioned tournament, so all PDGA rules apply. If you are unsure how to mark and play from a lie, the rules for out of bounds or mandatories and drop zones, or if you’re unsure on any general or course rules, please see Ryan at the north shelter before the start of the first round. The two meter rule is NOT in effect.
PDGA guidelines recommend social distancing. For further COVID 19 guidelines, please visit www.pdga.com.
Player check in is at the north shelter on the Island from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM. You MUST check in at the shelter and pick up your player’s pack.
See attached map for available parking on the north end of the island. Please park in the gravel area first, before filling in the designated grass areas. Please do not park in the grassy area adjacent to the shelter.
This year we will be using the PDGA’s online scoring. One player on each card will take down the scores on his or her phone. It is recommended that at least one other player on the card takes down the scores on a paper scorecard as well, in order to double-check at the end of the round. Paper scorecards will be provided. Hole assignments for round two will be posted shortly after the completion of round one.
Tee off is at 9:00 AM. Please be at your tee and ready to go before 9:00 AM. A two minute warning will be signaled before each round.
Make sure that all tees you play from have a temporary sign indicating that it is a hole for the 2021 Am State Tournament. Note that some of these temporary signs may appear below the usual tee sign, and that the tees will be a mix of grass and concrete.
Once all cards have been submitted for round one, there will be a 90 minute break for lunch. Lunch will NOT be provided so please plan accordingly.
Please check the event page for round two hole assignments. Be at your hole ready to go for round two by the appointed time.
We hope to have Laney’s Cool Treats ice cream truck parked at the north end of the island around the time everyone is finishing round two. If you wish, you will be able to enjoy a cool treat while you wait for scores to be tallied! You will be responsible for purchasing your own treats.
We will have a brief awards ceremony after all cards have been submitted at the end of round two.
Be respectful of your competitors, and remember that drugs and alcohol are PROHIBITED. The use of alcohol during the rounds and the use of drugs at ANY TIME are grounds for immediate disqualification.
Remember that the players on higher numbered holes have the right-of-way.
Be courteous to other park users. Watch for bikers and walkers. Make sure to use the trash bins located at several spots on the island. Please, please DO NOT SMOKE unless you are on pavement or concrete. The chance of fire is extremely high this summer.
