Robert and I have talked and feel we needed to make a change to what group plays which course first for speed of play. The only change is Saturday. Pool A will play the South course then the North Course. Pool B will play North first and then South.

We’ve had a ton of growth with the monsoon….I did a ton of trimming today at red Mtn. I still need to do a little on 18north.
The rest is in decent shape.
I cleared a dole gap on 7north tee.(it’s been a long time growing it into this vision for the shot)
I’m not sure if I can get to clearing 7 north around the basin. It’s passable and playable, just rough around the edges of the jungle.

This is from the course care taker

Shouldve left it. Makes it more challenging

Robert Cummings III   September 22, 2021 at 4:18pm

I agree I like a different course

Robert Cummings III    Sticky September 15, 2021 at 3:40pm

Just a Friendly reminder about the course at Red Mountain

Red mountain has a care taker that does a wonderful job keeping up with the desert ???? and all of its growth.
Please do not take it amongst yourselves to trim any of the bushes trees etc.
Everyone will have the same obstacles of growth we really need to respect the care takers lines.
A large group of us played 2 weekend's in a row and found the course to be in great shape. The last tournament I ran there everything was almost dead now its flourishing with life lets go out there and have some fun.
Thank you for understanding.

I've hurt my ankle at work & won't be able to compete. I withdrew on the Registration Page, is there anything else I need to do to get a refund?

I accidently left two mid-range disc's inside the basket of hole 2 on the South Course two days ago. One was a Gray Buzz and the other was a Pink Westside. I didn't write my number on them but if anoyone picked them up can you please return em. Thanks!

Where will the first round hole assignments be.....'tournament central' the day of the tournament? Or online at PDGA.com/event or wherever?

You all are doing great keeping up with everything, I appreciate it and am looking forward to this tournament.

If I do this tournament, I would need a place to camp. I've never been there before so I don't know my way around and will be coming up from Tucson

We would love to have you play. I would try Google on camping by red mountain.

Hey guys. I thought I saw a breakdown of which groups were in which pool - but can't seem to locate it now.
Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks, in advance.

Haven't made pools yet waiting for event to fill or cut off

Bill Fleming    September 15, 2021 at 2:21pm

Will there be course maintenance before the tournament? Arizona had some heavy rains and that caused a lot of growth (good for Arizona); unfortunately, that means a lot of growth around tee pads and fairways that blocks line of sight and throwing lanes. There's a couple of tee pads on north where the growth in front of the tee pad is so high that you don't have a straight line throw. The course is still playable as-is, but it would be nice to know if some trimming will be done prior to this tournament.

We played last weekend both north and south and did not find a problem with any of the growth. To answer your question no we won't be trimming anything there. That course has a caretaker that does an awesome job.

Robert Lake    September 4, 2021 at 4:20am

We will be doing groups as to make groups even. Thats why we can't say who tees on wat course yet. The faster we get full the easier it will be to tell. Right now we are not full so can not give that any attention.

Trevor Stevens    August 16, 2021 at 12:33pm

New to tournaments, is this a tournament that requires you to take the PDGA exam? Also is there a registration cap on the MA3 division?

*???? Was supposed to be a fist bump emoji. Apparently emoji‘s are supported here so, (insert fist bump emoji)

Here's the 'rule on who needs to be a certified rules official. https://www.pdga.com/faq/certified-officials-exam/who-has-to-take-the-certified-officials-exam

Bill Fleming   August 18, 2021 at 12:48pm

Also, if you are interested in how well you know the rules...you take the test for free. Once you pass it asks if you want to be certified and if you do...that's when you pay the $10 USD
