Brandon I don't know when the last time you were at stoney was but there is not a new hole 1. Hole 1 is the same as its always been when I see a tee pad in then we can discuss NEW #1 BEING PART OF THE COURSE

Play the course as it sits when the (new) layout is actually finished then it will be play besides this will be one of the last tourny's that 23 will be played and in my opinon 23 long is 1 of the sickest holes on the course. Parkable and 6able great seperation hole

@ ken...the new #1 HOLE IS THE COURSE. In a matter of months, stoney the way you know it will be gone forever, and the layout will have the new hole. What are you gonna do, just decide to tee of at hole 3 (now hole 1) and say screw it? eventually everyone will have to get used to playing on the new course, what's the issue with playing 1 different hole for this tournament? for the most part, it isn't all that different. if you get a decent drive, you give yourself a good shot at an ann ... more

I Love the idea of going with a new layout. It will put everyone on just about the same level ground as no one is going to have the opportunity to practice it much. This will really test the skills of the players rather then just going to a course and throwing the same shots as always. I would love to see all divisions playing longs, some of the shorts are hard to find if you don't know they are there. Back in 09 Gale Vaughn I know of a group teed off on the Long pads 3 times when we we ... more

I thought the new layout was a good idea. If you want the same "old same old" get married.

I vote for new hole 1. its a sweet hole, and like John says, the layout changes...not at all! just the first hole! besides, we're all gonna be playing it sooner or later, might as well get used to it. I think majority doesn't want to see that hole, and want 23 longs, because theres no shot at a birdie, and even a par is a premium. **** it, put on your big boy pants and play 1 different hole.

Joe, should we move you to Open Masters?

Lance, you are a horrible idea :-D
Besides, it is 1 teepad. Let me rephrase - it would have been 1 tee pad.
Did I say that out loud - the new layout only has 1 tee pad different from the current layout. 1 tee pad. OBTW, I had a flypad lined up too. Thx, this save me more work ;-D
