MFDG and the WSSU Disc Golf Team presents the 2021 Winston-Salem Ram Qualifier

About this tournament
IMPORTANT, ANY PLAYER IN THIS TOURNAMENT MUST BE A COLLEGE DISC GOLF MEMBER, if you need more information on how to become a member please visit the College Disc Golf Website. The College Disc Golf Membership includes a PDGA membership, which should be linked when registering.
The Winston-Salem Ram Qualifier has been awarded one bid for the Division 1 College Disc Golf National Championship. The winning team of this event will win the bid!
This tournament will be a one-day tournament on October 16, 2021. We will be playing on the very unique and challenging MFDG course on their Battle layout! This course is located in Lexington NC and is completely PRIVATE, requiring permission from the course owner to play. We are very lucky and excited to get to play on this awesome layout.
I have been notified that the course will be open for practice on October 15th. The address for the course is as listed:
2186 Craver Road, Lexington Nc, 27295
This course requires the ability to pull off technical wooded and open shots. The brand new WSSU Disc Golf Team is extremely excited to showcase this course. Each hole has a uniqueness that you do not get on a public course. This layout is just under 5000 feet, at 4962 feet. We are expecting very close scores, as this is a team/doubles event. Some holes are indeed ace-able and should make for an interesting day. Again, the WINNING TEAM will win the bid for D1 CDGNC!
There will be two rounds, both detailed in the schedule. One doubles round (averaged with doubles team of the same 4 person squad) and one Alternate doubles round, sometimes referred to as Team doubles, with two sets of teammates, one ODD pair, and one EVEN pair. The even pair will tee off on the even holes and the odd pair will tee off on the odd holes. More details in the schedule.
This event will be a low cost event. Each 4 person team will cost 100$ to register, so 25$ per person. With play, each individual will receive a 20$ credit to the MFDG store which is located on-site and has plenty of discs, new and used, bags, snacks, drinks, towels, and other sporting goods material. The remaining 5$ will be going to the WSSU Disc Golf team as we are FULLY self-funded at the moment.
We are only allowing 14 teams, 56 individuals, into this event. Act swiftly as these spots will fill.
