Here are your reminders for tomorrow's event. Please read this carefully, as you are responsible for all the information contained within. It is going to be pretty cold and windy tomorrow, so please layer up. We will have hand and toe warmers for every player. The course is a little muddy, as well (although it may stay frozen during play) so we recommend waterproof shoes.

First, course notes and scoring. There is very little OB on the course. The parking lots and walking path are OB (specifics are in the Digital Scorecard). Where players encounter barbed wire, they may take 2 meters of relief. Finally, on hole 16, there is a hunting blind on the left. This is not a playing surface, so treat discs that land on it as if they got stuck in a tree branch.

The official scoring method for this event is the PDGA Digital Scorecard. Charge your phones overnight. You can either use your browser to log in by pointing it to pdga.com/score or download the new PDGA Live app from the Apple Store or Google Play Store (highly recommended). My expectation is that every player in a group will keep score for the whole group. If you require a paper scorecard, let me know by 8:00pm tonight by replying to this email. Second, logistics. Tee times and projected pro payouts are up on the PDGA event page. Please continue to check your hole assignments, as last-minute drops may affect them. Please carpool wherever possible. Overflow parking is by the turf fields across the park road. Bring water.

You must check in with me no later than 9:15am. If you do not check in on time, you will be dropped from the event. Players may warm up at the practice basket and on the course, and there are many fields nearby that may have space available. We tee off at 9:30am.

Use of tobacco products - this counts vaping - is prohibited on the course (must be limited to the parking area) and alcohol is prohibited throughout the park. Smoking marijuana on public land is not legal in the Commonwealth of Virginia. If you break these rules, I will disqualify you on the spot. If you choose to argue with me about it, you will lose.

While the leaf situation is much better than this past fall, please strictly observe Rule 812.B.2 and Rule 805.03. A best practice is for the last person teeing off to move down the fairway and spot for the first two throwers, and then switch with the first person teeing off, who will spot for the last two throwers (or the last thrower, in case of a three-person group). Again: it is a three-minute timer for lost discs.

Lunch is a wrap bar with your choice of roast beef, ham, turkey, chicken salad, or hummus and sliced veggies. Kale salad can go in the wrap or on the side. Chips and water round out the lunch. After lunch, we will give out awards. Depending on the time, I may then swing over to Ocelot for a beer. All are welcome to join.
