Lines of Paign 2020
About this tournament
POSTPONED: The Park district did not approve the event in time, so I am going to try to reschedule. I am hoping to have a final date by Monday 6/8 or Tuesday 6/9.
The tournament hopefully will be a two round, PDGA sanctioned C-tier. This tournament will be conducted using tee times for both rounds. The week before the event, I will post the tee times for round one by division, and two days before the tournament, I will post the official tee times for everyone. Tee times for round one will start around 8:30. Round two will depend on when round one finishes, but most likely will start around Noon.
The tournament will be $20 for Ams and $30 for Pros. Because of the pandemic, one of the changes is going to be no payout at the end of the event for Ams. The players pack will be around $20 in value, so you will be getting your money's worth. Pro payout will be done with Paypal after the event.
Lines of Paign is a "ropes" style course that will utilize OB lines, Hazard Areas, and Mandos to make a fair challenge for all competitors. A caddy book will be provided prior to the event.
I ask that you please be willing to be flexible with me in the time leading up to this event. I really want to be able to provide an excellent tournament experience, but there are definite challenges, as I am not even sure if I can get the event approved as of now. If I can't get the event approved for June 13th, I will try to reschedule it.
One more note, I will be following any rules and restrictions that the Champaign Park District or the Champaign-Urbana Public Health Department might require for the event. There might be some rules that you do not agree with. If that is the case, and you would not enjoy playing the event with any rules that are required, then you are more than welcome to not play the event. I want to provide as fun and safe of a playing environment as I can, and that will include following all rules required to minimize the spread of the disease.
