Wow, I've never deleted so many posts. If you feel like commmenting on the event, feel free... but this thread for the tournament not for people to make snide comments to others.
As for hole 9... I'll call it now, you all play LONG 9. As for floater groups, I'm not opposed to them... they are better than a 5some... I might even explore the idea of a couple more holes...
Amateur Hour October 19, 2012 at 1:20am
Pros should play long 9. We can handle it. 8055

Shut up and throw
Harold Fernando October 18, 2012 at 8:46pm
Can't we all just get along and be happy!?! :)
Kenneth Eckhoff October 18, 2012 at 8:30pm
wow i was just trying to play sleepy one more time before it snowed lol
Lance Bayliss October 18, 2012 at 7:28pm
As for long hole 9...its the only true separation hole on the course as well as a ratings changer hole..why wouldn't Open and Am1 play it.
Brent Faubert October 18, 2012 at 6:51pm
For everyone complaining about backups and floaters, there is no reason to complain. What happens when you lose your disc? A BACKUP happens. What happens when you are playing behind a slow group who takes their full allowed time on EVERY shot? A BACKUP happens. IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN. Matt and Erin have done a GREAT job with every tourney I have played in at sleepy. They accommodate everyone and the tourney still goes off without a hitch.
Reasons why tournaments take longer is because last mi ...

Good thing I have all the way until the night b4 the tourney to decide if I should pass my spot on.
Lance Bayliss October 18, 2012 at 6:00pm
Right josh...which may happen, which is unfair that I sign up for tourneys on time before they are full, wnd then you are just gonna make changes and add spots to accommodate a few stragglers, that couldn't get signed up intime., instead of making the majority of the field happy. I play certain tourneys based on the TD because they do things to make there tourneys run smooth and take care of the field.

I was just stating what Matt posted earlier about hole 9. It might not even happen so hold tight and we will confirm with you by tomorrow what is happening.
Joshua Siwek October 18, 2012 at 4:58pm
For what it's worth, I'm totally fine with floater groups and happy that Matt is doing his best to accommodate all interested players. If it's that much of a problem for you personally, you can always drop out and make room for those still on the wait list.
Shaun Adkins October 18, 2012 at 4:37pm
Please don't make open play the short bucket on 9.
Erin Oakley October 18, 2012 at 4:20pm
Eric, yes the same normal 3 extra holes. And if hole 9 is shortened, it will be for all and for flow so there won't be as long of a wait at the tee.
Harold Fernando October 18, 2012 at 6:29am
Thanks Matt! I doubt it will happen though...too many things to do and prolly not enough people would volunteer....sounds like we'll be bringing sandwiches!
Eirik Kauserud October 18, 2012 at 5:18am
How about my questions rinker
Matt Rinker October 18, 2012 at 12:50am
I'll look into th food for you Harold... generally it takes some (like you) volunteering to cook so the TDs can do their thing.
TO ALL... If the waitlist drops to 6 players or less by the friday before the event, they will have a spot in the tournament and I will have 2 floater groups of 3somes. It may make the round longer for some... but then no one gets turned away.
