About this tournament
Back for a fourth year, the Pine Cone Open features 2 rounds at Anderson Creek Park , just outside of Lillington NC. The layout will be the same both rounds, with a mix of the long and short positions for those with two pin placements.
( This layout is TBA on 9/20/2020 ).
Just as in 2019, the 2020 event will be Amateur only. The field is also offering Jrs under 12, as well as an Advanced and Intermediate Ladies field. Also - for those with ratings less than 850, there is again a Novice division this year.
All players will receive a players pack with a value that exceeds their entry fee featuring some really awesome swag. Payout fulfillment for the event will be hosted by Fly Guy Disc Golf.
The traditional Hot dogs, Chips ,drinks and dessert for lunch for $5 will be back!
IMPORTANT - READ THIS !!!
In the current Covid environment, the parks have placed some requirements in order to hold the vent this year.
Strict social distancing will be required.
NO Caddies allowed ( except players 13 and younger as is required ).
NO observers / spectators / tag-a-longs allowed.
There will NOT be a player meeting - you will receive an email with all of the player meeting information.
On the Day of the event - you will register at the Tournament Central where you will revive your player pack, and then proceed to distance apart, and go to your starting hole for any warm up and practice.
Scoring will be done on electronic devises using the PDGA Live Scoring app.
Make sure you are familiar with this process prior to arriving to the event.
All awards Vouchers issued for payout will be to the email address you use when registering for this event. Keep that in ind if you are registering more than one person. In that situation, you need to send an email to [email redacted] listing each player and the proper email address to send any voucher of winnings to.
The Electronic Awards vouchers may be used on site ( it displays a QR code on your phone ) or later online at flyguydiscgolf.com.
The Tournament Director reserves the right to amend, adjust or cancel the event at any time due to environmental or health related concerns.
IF the event is cancelled prior to 9/20/2020 a full refund will be made to the registrant.
IF the event is cancelled 9/21/2020 or later, the player packs will be issued in lieu of a refund.
