Was out at Lakeshore today for a warmup before the tourny this weekend. Saw Larry J out on the course along with park maintenance getting the course ready. Trees were trimmed, mandos were marked and circles drawn. Those guys do a great job for one of the best tournaments in the area. A big THANKS to Larry and the crew at Lakeshore Park. See you this weekend.

Dont' forget the payment schedule! Prepay by May 17, and get a $5 discount. Several people have overpaid on paypal - not to worry, we'll make it right on June 1.

Discount goes away from May 18 to May 31.

If you wait until June 1 to pay, there is an additional fee of $5!

Yes, but if you register & pay prior to 5/17 you get a $5 discount; and if you wait until the day of the event, an additional $5 is added. So you can save 10 bucks by paying within the next 10 days - entirely up to you!

Chris Warfield   May 5, 2013 at 10:25am

alright thanks larry i just wanted to check and manfred what are you talking about?

Rick Gzesh    May 5, 2013 at 5:07am

Larry, Thanks for the quick reply. No biggie about the $5, your tournament is so much fun that it is worth the extra fin. I was at Lakeshore today for a couple of rounds. I did remember that one round would be the signs to long pins and threw a 60, the same as last years tournament. My other round was with a beginer friend so we played Red to shorts. Threw a respectable -7. I need to get back up there to practice from the blues to the longs. Have you ever considered giving us old guys a bre ... more

Come to think of it, you're not as young as you use to be either! LOL

Larry Jennings   May 5, 2013 at 9:00am

Ha - C'mon Rick - You should have seen what it was like to play blues to longs at Punderson's Pans Labyrinth last year.... Now THAT is LONG! Lake Shore Park's blue tees aren't nearly as punishing!

Rick Gzesh   May 6, 2013 at 9:52am

After playing a Master's tourny at Portage Lakes yesterday and throwing from their blues, I have to agree! I will take your blues to longs anyday over those tight trees and 400-600 foot pins!!! I believe Portage Lakes course is even harder and tighter than Punderson. Very fun though often frustrating course. That round will not help me in my quest to achieve a 900 rating.

Larry Jennings    May 5, 2013 at 3:54am

Rick, you're not the only one who got overcharged the $5. We're keeping track, & will offer up the cash, or if you want credit, that'll be fine.

First round: "Signs" to long pin placements (3, 5 , 13, & 17). Second round: Intermediate & below: Reds to longs; Advanced & above: Blues to longs. Third Round: Everyone plays whites to short pins.

And actually, anyone who pays prior to May 17 gets the $5 discount!

Larry, I registered on line before May 1st and did not recieve my $5 early registration discount. I would take it as credit for buying a disc at the tourney.

Could you also post what the course format will be for Advanced Grandmaster? I would like to practice a round in each format before the tourney. Thanks and see you next month.
