THIS EVENT WILL BE A "U.S.D.G.C" QUALIFIER !!!!

We are absolutely honored to have the opportunity to carry the torch of Texas States. It is our goal to both honor the cherished traditions of the States event and push forward with the growth and progress of our beloved sport.

This event has been made possible by the City of Houston and Houston Parks and Rec Dept. The Brock park facility is a product of their efforts as a revitalization of the area. Their vision, dedication and efforts towards realizing the goal on this project have been key. Thank you Houston and HPar !!!

Our title sponsor Innova Champion Discs has come in HUGE !!!

Innova has not just provided a SUBSTANTIAL cash and merchandise sponsorship, but they have committed to sending their event support staff and core-team to help the event run smoothly. I’ll be drawing from decades of high caliber event experience as we bring the center of the Disc Golf Universe to Houston and the States players !!!

Karbach Brewing Co. will host our players party and press conference at their AMAZING Houston facility. We will utilize their Biergarten area for both. Karbach will be offering samples of their brews at Brock all weekend to all (of legal age) in attendance.

Our DGPT Silver will see $15,000 minimum added cash (with a goal of at least $20k).

MPO and FPO will remain at Brock Park for the entirety of the event.

“B-Roc Gold” is a temp course designed specifically for this event. Brock being a former “traditional” golf course, the designers were adamant about creating a true, disc golf course feel.

Chris Vandagriff (Evergreen Flyways, Duessen) and Scotty Linthicum (Pleasure Island Gold) crafted this track with true GOLD level play in mind. They used the beautiful Brock property to its fullest potential. This course first utilizes the rolling, undulating and sometimes dramatic hills of the front property, putting a premium on distance control and placement. Then, on to the rear section, where players must navigate lines through and around old growth trees and other topographical features. This helped make it possible to largely avoid the open golf fairways and create a disc specific feel. OB’s and pin placements were strategically and meticulously thought out to provide fair challenges and enhance the natural terrain, foliage and amenities.

Temp tees for this course will be made using high quality athletic turf, engineered and constructed with great care and concern.

FPO:
Division information can be found on the official TSDGC website below.
https://texasstatediscgolfchampionship.org/fpo-schedule/

Our FPO division will play “B-Roc Mod” Friday, Sat and Sunday.

“B-Roc Mod” is a modified version of the BEAUTIFUL Neal Dambra designed Brock Park course. We brought in accomplished designer Scotty Linthicum for the modifications. Scotty is husband and caddy of FPO Christina Linthicum. He drew from his “on the bag” Pro Tour experiences to create a course designed specifically to challenge the skillset of touring FPO’s. Scotty was adamant that distances and required shots were appropriate to create challenge and scoring separation. Premiums were placed more on accuracy and shot shape, and less on raw distance.
