Not what I expected when I googled "Shady Oaks Disc Golf" to learn about the course, but my god was it a delight to find. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiCPrTuccvk&ab_channel=BiggLHogg

THIS IS AMAZING! I had no idea this existed, but I'm glad that it does!

How do we know our exact tee time?

Looks like you’re 10:56am. It says here if you scroll right of your name. https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/60529

Thank you Mike! The link right there will take you to your tee time.

Dylan Koehn   August 6, 2022 at 1:39pm

Awesome. Thank you! Good luck!

Brian Usher    August 5, 2022 at 3:50pm

hello - just sent an email about changing divisions as there are now (sadly) only 2 MA50's.

Just responded to your email Brian!

The course looks great! Thanks to all that put in the work! I’m looking forward to getting out there as early as possible tomorrow ; ).

No rush, just curious. When do you expect tee times to be posted? Also, are we going to have the same card for both rounds?

Cameron Paulsen   August 4, 2022 at 4:57am

Tee times will be posted on Friday after registration closes. You will have the same card for both rounds and each round will start 4 hours after the original tee time. Hope that helps to clarify!

Perfect thank you! :)

Quick question regarding A vs B tees. I would assume that A tees are White and B tees are Red in the dgcoursereview site? I am coming from out of town and haven't played the course before, so I just want to get a feel for what I am getting myself into. Here's the link to dgcoursereview. https://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=819&mode=hi

So the distances are as follows. #1 345, #2 260, #3 270, #4 430, #5 280, #6 265, #7 345, #8 365, #9 420, #10 539, #11 330, #12 550, #13 275, #14 270, #15 739, #16 365, #17 260 island hole, #18 370. That should help a little bit.

Thank you! This will help me plan with great precision how to shank it into the rough on every hole. Much appreciated, TD!

Martin Finnie    July 30, 2022 at 12:52pm

Will there be course maintenance done before the tournament? The “Path” on 11 is nonexistent. Anything (else) getting worked on? FW on 10 is also a bit thick. Thanks!

We are working on getting out there and touching those places up. Elmo is leading charge to get out there tomorrow, and I will be out there to work Monday/Tuesday for the event.

Martin Finnie   July 30, 2022 at 4:23pm

Awesome! Your hard work is much appreciated, and I’m sure I speak for many. I wish I lived closer to help out on such a great course.

Tee times I’m assuming for both rounds?

It will be tee times! Sorry forgot to add that, but I will add it to the description

Now I really have to get up to Shady Oaks to play a few rounds before this tournament. Congratulations to the 40th Illinois State Championship MA50 first place winner, Mark Zalce. For any of you that have never played Joliet Highland Park, Mr. Zalce’s even par round on day two was a 929 rated round. That’s how difficult the course played on this past Sunday. From one Mark to another, see you in August.

Thank you for posting the layout this far in advance. Now I have to find some time to head up to Shady Oaks and get in a few rounds

I was just joking because Shady Oaks Park is such a great coarse. I’m sure it’s a really great course. Just a little fun word play with coarse and smooth.

Cameron Paulsen   May 27, 2022 at 11:39pm

All good! I see the word play now haha.

Steve Rachan   June 16, 2022 at 7:31pm

Love it Mark! The Smooth crew will be at Feather Frenzy this day or else we would have loved to play. Cameron, please reach out! We’d love to support if possible.
