About this tournament
Welcome to the first ever Clash at the Caverns! This is a 2 day 27 hole (per day) tournament that is held in the high desert just NW of Peach Springs, AZ. The Kingman Disc Golf Club brings out 18 baskets to add to the already existing 9 hole course to bring new challenging shots to the first PDGA event ever brought to the area.
-CAMPING IS ENCOURAGED! The Grand Canyon Caverns offers hotels, camping, restaurant, and even cave tours if you have enough time. Campers have restrooms and even hot showers available close by to camp so we encourage everyone to bring the tents or even campers out and have a great time. The party goes all night long so bring your glow discs because we set up a killer par 2 nine hole setup around camp and there is not telling when it will end. -Grand Canyon Caverns DGC is very far from anywhere. Cell service may be not be available and the nearest town is 20+ miles away so please be prepared for anything. We play in the high desert where the juniper trees don't offer the most shade so proper sun gear is a must. However we are in an area where the weather can change in moments so rain gear or cold weather gear is extremely smart to consider. We will be playing from dirt tee pads and to mostly temporary baskets on a temporary course so proper hiking footwear is a no brainer. The course sits at about 5,500 ft. elevation and we play through juniper trees for 90% of the course. The course with tournament layout is already available to view on Udisc and maps with players guide will be available at check in.
- This tournament is a very "Jerry" like event and we want everyone to have the best time possible. The employees of the Caverns give us a lot of freedom and all they want is for people to come back and have a good time. I cant express enough how you need to bring everything for a 2/3 day camping trip with you. Although the inn has a small store and there is a restaurant and gift shop close by you are miles from anywhere. We will be playing long rounds in possibly hot or cold weather so please be prepared.
