About this tournament
Blame it on Bochantin is a 2-round unsanctioned tournament at South Hills that is very similar to the concept of a Trilogy Challenge.
$25 of entry fees (both pro and am) will be funded towards a player's pack everyone will receive. The player's pack will be a $25 credit to the B.S. Bochantin Upshot mobile shop. But you must use those funds wisely; with that $25 you must build a bag of discs for your 2 rounds. Players will also be allowed to trade 2 discs they own to receive a maximum of an extra $10 ($35 total) to help build a decent bag. Strategy will play a big hand in how a bag is built: do you go with a few trusty disc molds you already know, or cover a wide spectrum to attempt to cover every style of shot you might need? After the round, these discs will be yours to keep naturally.
Ams will be playing for more final credit payout towards the Upshot shop. Pros will be playing for cash which will be paid out through PayPal. A $2 optional ace pot will be available during registration. If the ace pot is hit, this will also be paid out via PayPal. 40% of each division will be paid out and there must be at least 3 participants in a division for it to be played; if there are less than 3, I will ask the affected players to move to a division that fits closest to their skill set.
Brian Bochantin has asked that players signing up for this tournament friend him on Facebook. Brian has albums of disc pictures on his page and keeps it updated very well. Anyone that signs up for this tourney can pre-select the discs they want to purchase by messaging Brian. Brian will do his best to accommodate everyone.
Please keep in mind social distancing mitigation efforts will be in effect for this tournament. Anyone handling the B.S. Bochantin Upshot stock is expected to wear disposable gloves (will be provided) and wear a face covering. Hand sanitizer will also be available and we expect players to be efficient and fair to others while selecting discs for the day. On the course, we also expect players on each card to play smart and try to stay socially distanced when possible. Do not handle another player's discs or equipment. Failure to adhere to mitigation efforts could result in disqualification from the tournament.
