About this tournament

Registration closes on February 22, 2018. There will be a $5.00 late registration fee for players the day of the tournament if any spots are open. We are trying to provide the best player experience possible and it is easier to do so when we know the total number of players. If you plan on making it to the tournament but you will not have cash until the day of...no problem...call any of the TD's to make arrangements and we will get you on the registration list. You can be added on the registered list and be able to pay the day of and you will not be charged a late registration fee as long as arrangements are made before Feb. 19th with one of the three TD's.
23 Hole Temp course on the Hillcrest Country Club's golf course in Vernon, TX. The course is designed by Mike Williams who has slightly changed the layout from last year! All of the signature holes from last year are still in place but some additional land was incorporated into the layout. That and the rerouting of a few boring/filler holes opened up a few more epic shots for this years tournament. All three rounds will be played on the same course. There are separate Long and Short tee pads on all but 2 holes. There is also a lot of Junior tee pads. All tee box locations will have signs with hole info and sponsors!

We will also have 12+ Airmen volunteers from Sheppard Air Force Base as spotters to help with course flow and overall better rounds. Be sure and thank these men and women for their service and for volunteering their Saturday and Sunday! Special Thanks to Joel Miller for his help with this!

This will not be a "True Amateur" Guideline ran Event. Financial information and data will be posted before round one starts! This will include entry fee breakdowns for each division, end of Tournament payouts for each division and the number of spots to be paid.

All am players will receive a commemorative players pack. This will include an Innova Champion Discs TFR disc with the WLB Snowman stamped on top and a bottom stamp to be announced at a later date. Disc will be chosen by you on a first come first serve basis during the check in process. All of the discs ordered are not available except for approved tournaments. Lots of Destroyer, Roc3, Shyke, Firebird, Thunderbird, Teebird3, Leopard3, and more in a variety of special effects. A lot of glow plastic, metal flake, color glow, shimmer star, Champion, and more.
All who sign up will also get an Adidas one time use 40% off promo card. This card will have a promo code that will give you 40% off everything in your cart at adidasoutdoor.com (not limited to one item, only one time use)

We will have at least one "CTP/ROF" type contest for a new pair of Adidas Terrex Shoes. The number of prizes to be determined by the number of registered players. Winner will select desired shoes from adidasoutdoor.com (maximum value of shoe to be selected can't be more than $119.99 retail for the first pair awarded. after the first pair is awarded, the second pair and so on would have a maximum value of $59.99. If winner desires a more expensive pair of shoes, they would have the option of paying the difference in cost on the remaining balance.) Includes free shipping!

All registered Tournament players will be subject to a $5 greens fee charge on Friday for course Preview rounds and doubles competition. This $5 green fee will be charged by the HCCC and should be paid in the Pro Shop the day of. If you aren't playing in the tournament and want to play the course on Friday the HCCC wants a $10 greens fee for all day of play. No exceptions for this and the country club will have a registration list.

We will have CTP's for all am divisions. Meaning there will be some girls only, youth only, rec only, int only and advanced only prizes!

All players will receive lunch on Saturday in between rounds on site. This will be a freshly cooked hamburger (w/cheese and vegetables if wanted ) plate cooked by the Hilllcrest Country Club. This is included in your entry fee for all players.

The Hampton Inn of Vernon is the official hotel of all Winters Last Blast Tournaments. They are offering a great discount for people connected to the tournament. Call them at 940 552 1100 to book your room with a discount. Must be reserved before Feb 10th to be eligible for discount. Update, they are still honoring the discount until the Friday before the tournament.

Bring your hotel//motel/B&B receipts to any TD to be entered into a giveaway only for people who stayed at a hotel/motel/B&B. One entry per night per person. Only the name on the receipt can be entered. Right now the prize is an Innova Hero bag.

If you "Ace" any hole, you when that basket at the end of the tournament. Only one winner per hole. First person to throw an "ace" on that hole is the only winner of a basket. There is no entry fee for this "Ace" bonus, everyone is eligible if you are registered, play, and make an ace(hole in one) during your sanctioned tournament round.

Green Fees for Saturday and Sunday to the country club will be payed out of your entry fee at $7.50 per day. This doesn't include Friday's greens fee.

A standard PDGA B-Tier players fee of $3.00 per player will be deducted from your entry fee. This goes directly to the PDGA and pays for your ratings. All players must be current in their membership with the PDGA or pay a $10 fee for not having a current membership. No exceptions. If you register without paying the $10 non-current fee and you still are not current on tournament day, then you will be required to pay the $10 non-current fee before you are allowed to play! We have multiple "wraffle" giveaways and are listed as the following:

2. Hotel/Motel/B&B Patrons (give a copy of receipt from any Vernon, TX Hotel/Motel/B&B for the dates of Feb 22-26, 2018 to any TD. You will receive one entry per night per room rented. Only one person(the name on the receipt) can claim this prize.
3. Merchandise(tickets will be $1.00 each). More prizes will be added as more tickets sell. The Top Prize as of now is a new Ridge, a backpack style DG bag you can sit on! (Retail Value of $269.99) This is from Ridge Roller Customs, thanks to Joe Robinson! If you want a top quality USA made DG bag then check them out! Also if the ticket sales are good then stuff like Discs only available from buy back retailers(example: Brand New never thrown for the following: DD Prototype Sheriff, Fuzion Burst Truth(not an eMac), and possibly a full unreleased set of discs with its proto, first run, SE, and first Burst edition it). Also tons of hats and shirts from different DG companies.
UPDATE*** FEAR NO BASKET, a new DG Clothing start up is sending a bunch of their new merchandise they are donating to help raise funds. Fear No Basket is all about the youth and helping grow the game to become Americas' family sport.

Refund policy

All request to officially withdraw from this tournament must be made by emailing [email redacted].

Players who officially request to withdraw from an event prior to 30 days of the start of the event will receive a 100% cash refund (minus up to a $10 handling fee.)

Players who officially request to withdraw from an event at 15 to 30 days from the start of the event will receive a 100% cash refund minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through either the wait list or a walk up entry (if offered). If the player's spot is NOT filled, the TD has
the choice to provide EITHER a 50% cash refund OR just the player's pack the player would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping.)
In the case of a player in a Pro division for an event without a Pro player pack worth at least 25% of the Entry Fee, the TD will provide the 50% cash refund.

Players who officially request to withdraw from an event at 14 or less days from the start of the event and prior to the events published closure of registration and wait list replacements (1 week or less prior to the event is recommended) will receive a 100% cash refund minus up a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through either the wait list or a walk up entry (if offered.) If the player's spot is NOT filled, the TD has the choice to provide EITHER a 25% cash refund OR just the player's pack they would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping.) In the case of a player in a Pro division for an event without a Pro player pack worth at least 25% of the Entry Fee, the TD will provide the 25% cash refund.

Players who do NOT officially request to withdraw from a registered spot playing in the event prior to the published closure of registration and wait list replacements or don't show to play (aka a no-show), forfeit their entry fee and do NOT receive a refund or players pack. (This does NOT apply to a wait list player.)
