About this tournament

Trying again - Welcome to the 38th Annual Kansas City Wide Open!
Unfortunately KCDG had to cancel the event scheduled for earlier in the year, but it is back now!

The 38th Annual Kansas City Wide Open will be a 2 round C-tier on tee times.
There will be 3 pools - please see the registration page for current pool assignments.

Course assignments:

A Pool - Water Works and Cliff Drive
B Pool - Cliff Drive and New Swope Gold
C Pool - New Swope Gold and Water Works

Courses:

Water Works Park - The layout will be similar to the 37th Annual Kansas City Wide Open with some minor tweaks based upon feedback from the 2019 event. The course will be set for the tournament by October 10 with Out of Bounds and Mandatories painted and flagged by October 14.

Kessler Park (Cliff Drive) - The course will be set for the tournament by October 10 with Out of Bounds and Mandatories painted and flagged by October 14.

New Swope Gold - The course will be set for the tournament by October 10 with Out of Bounds and Mandatories painted and flagged by October 14.

All amateur payouts will be through Dynamic Discs - Kansas City. Vouchers will be good until November 18th.

All amateur player packs will include an event shirt and an event disc (minimum).

All professional payouts will be sent via PayPal with appropriate fees (NOT friends and family) or a check can be picked up Sunday at Cliff Drive.

All professionals will receive an event shirt. The event shirt player's pack item will NOT be deducted from payouts. While this event is a C-Tier, Kansas City Disc Golf is making efforts to enhance pro payouts to (at minimum) a B-Tier level.

Player Packs will be available at Swope Park on Friday and at Water Works on Saturday.

Please check in with your course director 30 minutes before your tee time.
Tee times will be posted 3 days before the event at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/46886.

We will be following all local, PDGA, and KCDG Covid-19 rules and regulations.
By registering for this event you agree to the PDGA waiver, but you must also fill out the KCDG waiver in order to play in this event. The link is at

The 38th Annual Kansas City Wide Open will utilize PDGA Digital Scoring at https://www.pdga.com/apps/tournament/score/login - the password will be available as you check in to your course.
A paper scorecard will be given to each group in the case the PDGA website crashes or a similar emergency happens. A paper scorecard also ensures accuracy in the digital scoring. KCDG recommends using uDisc as a backup as well.

As of now, there will not be water available on the course so please plan accordingly. Bottled water MAY be available.

Awards for 1st place will be given out after each division is finished. Some amateur divisions will have additional trophies.

Refund policy

Kansas City Disc Golf is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.

KCDG will follow PDGA guidelines for event withdrawals and cancellations. Please see https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/103
