The baskets at New Quarter Park have been moved into the True Short positions for next weekend. Holes 6,7, and 14 are in the blue flag positions and all other baskets are in the red flag positions. The flag positions are shown on the existing tee signs with correct distances. The actual flags on the baskets do not match right now. They still have the blue flags on them from this weekend. We will try to change the flags by Friday. New Quarter Park is also on winter hours now. The gate is closed t ... more

The tee sign artwork for the long basket positions at Newport News Park is posted under the Pictures tab here on this event page. Only ten baskets will be moved to the long position. Holes: 3,4,5,9,12,14,15,17, and 18. The baskets at the park will be moved into these positions on tournament weekend. The course is currently marked with two orange flags at each long basket position.
The long basket positions are temporary positions and will be set up early Sunday morning. We will be moving the existing orange baskets into portable bases. The course is currently marked with two orange flags at the alternate basket positions. I will be checking them this week in case they have been mowed over.

Tim, the new pin positions for Newport News Park will only be played on Sunday, correct? The rounds played on Saturday will be short tees to short baskets as currently positioned?
Also, will the new long pins be left up for a few days or will they be moved back on Sunday? I'm curious to play that layout.
Saturday is short tees to the current basket positions. I really wanted to set up the long baskets for the second round on Saturday. The short baskets will be moved on Sunday and they have to be locked back in the short collar at the end of the day. We could not take a chance of the baskets being stolen. My help is spread thin over three parks on Saturday. It was a tough call
Thanks for the info, Tim! You guys are killing it and I’m thankful for your hard work to run the event. See you tomorrow!

Hi Tim. I'm an out-of-towner and while I've played all of the courses, I'm just wondering if parking will be an issue considering how many people are playing. Will this be addressed in a future email and I've jumped the gun? Should I be sure to show up well in advance to each course?
Parking should not be an issue at any of the parks. I will be sending out a player's email later this week covering everything you will need to know for the weekend.

UDisc not showing New Quarter park short to short. How can we know what layout to follow MA40?
More information will be posted for the Am weekend once the Pro weekend is done. The baskets are currently in the long positions for this weekend and will be moved after this weekend to the short positions. Short will be a par 55 with only hole 18 as a par 4.

Just wondering, what are the long positions for NNP?.- Will the baskets be moved to the long pin position soon to allow for practice?.- Also, are we going to play the 20-hole layout?…
A set of temporary collars will be set up for the tournament and the baskets will be moved on for Saturday and Sunday. Only ten holes will have the baskets moved, holes: 3,4,5,9,10,12,14,17,18. The course does have flags out the holes. The rest of the baskets will remain in the short positions. I will post the tee sign artwork very soon here on this event page,

Can I please be moved to MA2 from MA3?
I can move to the MA2 waitlist. MA2 (Pool B) is currently full. Please let me know before I make a change.
It’s okay I will just stay in MA3 so I’m sure that I play!
