I wanted to update my comment about the criticisms I had about the tournament. Today David Feldberg reached out to me and we had a lengthy conversation about some of my concerns. I do feel like a lot of my concerns were valid, and I appreciate Dave for reaching out to me and I think we got on the same page about pretty much everything I bought up. Some of my concerns about the confusion of the rules and the ball golfers being on the course during the tournament David did admit were not great and they will be working on ways to clear up those concerns in the future. At the end of the day David says he wants everyone to have a good experience, and I believe him whan he says this and I hope to see progress made in those regards.

The main point of contention David had with my comments was the value of the players pack. And after speaking with David today I wanted to admit that I was wrong to criticize them in this regard. Personally I tend to care not so much about players pack value as I am paying to compete rather than get a bunch of stuff, but I was echoing sentiments I heard from several people. After our conversation though I have to admit that the jersey is quite nice and I plan on wearing that while playing in the future (even if I find the zipper to be a little weird lol). And while I may not be the biggest fan of prodigy discs (sorry to any fans just not what i like to throw) that's more of a me problem than anything. The value of the players pack was definitely higher than that of which we paid, and I wanted to say that of all my points that was definitely one I was wrong about.

I’d like to add two recommendations. There needs to be UDisc maps set up for helping navigate and better inform players what to prepare for. Also, by no means is blame placed on the tournament staff, but I have never witnessed so many “spectators” interfere with or distract players. If you are reading this and bring “spectators” or “caddies” to an event in the future please familiarize them with the etiquette and courtesies other players may require to focus.

I hope this message can be taken as constructive criticism because that's how it is intended. I wanted to voice my frustrations about how this tournament was put on. I am not the only person that is frustrated by it. This was a sentiment that was shared by a lot of my cardmates this weekend. I want to keep this appropriately brief so I won't go into much detail. However I feel that there were a number of things that went very poorly with this tournament. I feel that the level of communication was not adequate from NADGTs end. There are a number of questions on this page that went unanswered that were questions that I know I was wondering about too and would have liked to receive answers to. Additionally, I feel that the rules of the courses were not explained clearly. There was a lot of confusion between what was said in the players meeting and what was sent to us via email. A couple examples: on the green course hole 2 I heard that some people got to call anywhere on the island in, even outside of the green/orange stakes, which is not how it was stated in the email. Hole 3 the rules sheet said the creek is OB. It says nothing about a painted line. Yet when you get up there there's a line. There were several others where we felt that it was not obvious what was in or out

Additionally, I did not appreciate that in the middle of competing in an A tier tournament with the potential to qualify for NADGT Nationals that we had to play around ball golfers for a couple holes today. That might be more on New World specifically, but it 100% affected the head space of some of my cardmates that didn't want to be hit by an errant drive.

I also feel that in the future the layout could possibly be catered better to different divisions. Just looking at the scores in some divisions, while I won't speak for those players, I have to imagine that they would have enjoyed the tournament better playing from a tee pad more appropriately lined up with their skill level.

Finally, I do feel like the players pack was very underwhelming for the cost of this tournament. I'm just comparing it to other tournaments where I have paid less and felt like I got a WHOLE lot more. I just feel like there are some things that are appropriate to be in a players pack for disc golfers. And I don't want to call any disrespect to any of the vendors who provided items in our players pack. I feel like the jersey/disc was very appropriate. But again, for the price we paid, comparatively to almost any tournament ive played over the past year, the pack felt underwhelming.

I don't want to feel like I'm piling on, so I'll cut my message here. But I encourage other players to comment their experience this weekend here. Whether you are in agreement with me or not. I'll end by saying that I was very underwhelmed by how this tournament was run. And because of this I will not be signing up for any NADGT tournaments in the near future until I hear more positive experiences from other players. A lot of the people I talked to this weekend shared a similar sentiment with me.

Well I will say the course is just beautiful - after playing Blue Out and Red In and today Red Out and White In - I will say wow playing from the longs as a Rec player was very hard - I am reading the layout correct for Rec women playing longs? Thanks so much - Le Anne

So I was out at New World for some practice as ive never played the courses before. I was wondering if there was word on what our exact layouts were. I understand which divs are playing which courses when, and what tees they are throwing from. I'm more so wondering, for example, if we will be playing all 20 green holes. Or if we are only playing 18, which 2 will be omitted? I was also wondering if OBs will be painted or if we will be receiving some type of caddy book to indicate OBs and mandos. I appreciate any info!

Is there any additional information on the agenda/courses/layouts for this tournament? I have never played here. I don't see anything about the pools (what division per pool) and also I am not sure what courses/holes/tee pads are being played. It just looks like there are multiple courses so I am not sure, for example, what blue out/red in short tees means.

Still waiting for verification of the start time for Saturday, waiting to book a hotel until I know for sure. 11 am tee off with lunch and it being 2 rounds on some long courses doesn’t seem entirely feasible. I could be wrong but that’s why I wanted to verify
