About this tournament

2016 Colorado State Disc Golf Championships Presented by Disc Golf Colorado
PDGA A-Tier Event- ALL player's (except Juniors) MUST be a current PDGA member. If a registered player is NOT PDGA current 2 WEEKS prior to event, that spot will be released to the next player on the waitlist for that division.

There will be 3 different Pools (A, B and C) of 72 players for this year's State Championship.
A Pool will consist of MPO, MPM, and FPO
B Pool will consist of MPG, MA1, MM1 and FA1
C Pool will consist of MA2, FA2, MA3, FA3 and ALL other age protected divisions not already listed, including Jrs.
All divisions, except Jrs, will require no less than 3 players to create a division. Players may be asked to modify their division after registration has filled if this PDGA requirement has not been meet.

The Greater Denver Area will be playing host to this year's State Championship using a total of 4 courses, with a variety of different and challenging layouts for all levels of play.
This year's Host courses are:

Adam's Hollow DGC- B and C Pools
Newest addition to Denver area disc golf. A combination of length and control will be tested by the terrain and trees.

Camenisch Park
Is home to 2 permanent courses, Badlands and Hylands, with a third championship layout, used yearly during the 303 Open.

303 Layout- A Pool only
The Modified 303 layout that will be in play, will go back to its original roots. It will be set up in a shorter, layout than recent years.

Badlands DGC- B Pool and C Pool
Original 18 Hole layout on this property. Elevation, wind and a little bit of water, challenges the players as they navigate through distance of this course.

Hylands DGC- C Pool
Originally this layout started as a 9 hole extension of the Badlands, known as the "Blair Witch", it has recently been extended into a full 18 Hole course. Even though, a shorter layout than Badlands, players will still be challenged to throw accurate and shaped shots.

Colorado Heights University (CHU)- Private Property- ALL Pools!!!!
Back by popular demand, and a WHOLE lot of hard work, this course will be in the ground for 2 days only
Once, not to long ago, this was a course that was available to students, members, and their guests, but due to unforeseen changes, the course could no longer continue to exist on campus. Not only does this course provide great challenges to all players, but also provides a rare view that goes all the way from Long's Peak to Pikes Peak.
Two different layouts will be used throughout the weekend.

The Mansion Championship DGC- Private Property- A Pool and B Pool
This is a private and hidden gem in the Denver and Colorado disc golf community. Jim Cannon, his family and the local neighbors, have been host to great events in the past, and have gone above and beyond this year to provide an amazing course with a new and challenging layout. Practice rounds will be made available to registered players prior to the event, with course open to ALL registered players, Friday before event.

Mansion and CHU are located on PRIVATE PROPERTY. Playing these courses for States is a privilege and not a right, and will be treated accordingly. Any player caught trespassing at CHU or the Mansion, prior to day of their round, MAY be prosecuted, and WILL BE disqualified from the event, WITHOUT A REFUND.

CHU will be considered a BLIND course, with waiver granted by PDGA for pre-event course availability. Any player caught at CHU prior to day of their round, MAY be prosecuted, and WILL BE disqualified from the event, WITHOUT A REFUND.
