Silver Sun Solar is proud to announce our 1st Annual Charity Disc Golf Event held at the River City Nature Park in Debary, Florida. The event will be held on Saturday, September 25th 2021. The tournament will begin with a scramble at 9:00am with a shotgun start!

EACH PLAYER WILL RECIEVE A PRIZE PACK

This event is being held in light of Brian Marinelli's niece Reagan who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at a very young age. That being said Touched by Type 1 and this event are very close to all of our hearts. We are calling on all of our friends, family, and local businesses to support and join us on this special day.

Silver Sun Solar is pleased to extend the opportunity to enter this prestigious event as well as offer special sponsorship opportunities and chances to win prizes. We have limited the amount of players to 108 golfers with three people per team, but all others are welcome to attend free of charge! There will be food, drinks, and games for all!
Player spots and sponsorship opportunities are based on a first-come, first served basis so please enter as early as possible.

A MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER:
“For over two decades Touched by Type 1 has been spreading awareness about Type 1 Diabetes, raising funds to find a cure, and inspiring those with Type 1 Diabetes to thrive. It is truly incredible for me to take a step back and see how this organization started on my parents’ driveway and has grown to what it is today – serving so many kids and adults with Type 1 Diabetes.
I have seen a lot and I have gone through a lot over the last 21 years with this disease. Connecting with others who are touched by Type 1 Diabetes keeps me motivated to continue to want to do and give to so many connected to this disease because I know firsthand how horrible, scary, and terrifying it can be—and I want to do everything I can to make sure that all others touched by Type 1 Diabetes have the most positive experience. None of us wanted this disease or chose this path, but we can all choose how we move forward and how we can impact ourselves and those around us.
Year-round Touched by Type 1 is providing resources, materials, events and programs that are meeting the needs of people with Type 1 Diabetes, not just in our own community but beyond, and it is only through the generous support of so many within our Central Florida community that we are able to help meet the needs of so many touched by Type 1.

Format of the tournament:
• Tournament will be in the 3 person per team scramble format, with a total of 108 golfers
• 2 teams of 3 playing will play each hole collectively throughout the round
• Each team member will be responsible for 6 drives and 6 fairway shots in the round
• Up to 6 mulligans per team may be purchased at the event (2 per Player)
• Out of bounds and drop zones will be defined day of the event
In the event of a 4 person team only 3 are allowed to tee off and play each hole, members must rotate with one person sitting out each hole

Games to be played:
• Putting Challenge = Every basket made provides participant raffle tickets to prize giveaways. .
• Chandelier Contest – 6 baskets tiered 3-2-1 with various levels of prizes.
• Closest to the pin – 1 designated hole
o 50/50 Raffle
• Ace Fund
o Contributions made to pool for an ACE Shot Award in play on any hole from the Tee. less
