Hey, y'all, just a heads-up:

This year we have cut down the playing field to 100 total players. In large part this is due to our planned 22-hole course, which will see two cards launching each time slot, with some players starting on hole 1, and some starting on hole 13, and eventually crossing over to the other set of holes. It's been a while since the tournament has been run in that manner, and we want to do our best to ensure everyone gets to complete the course with enough light and minimal waits on the tee pads. If it flows well, we will look at expanding the pool next year.

Of the 100 available spots, we are initially partitioning the field to 60 AM players and 40 Pro players. Because of the logistics in placing our AM player pack orders, we have no plans at this time to open up more AM spots should the Pros not fill their pool. We may consider adding more Pro spots, should the AMs not fill their pool.

Additionally, for the first two weeks of General Registration, we are reserving five spots per pool (Am and Pro) to be registered to F-bracket players. Should they not all be filled by March 2, the unclaimed spots will be opened up to their appropriate pools.

This is two years in a row on the same day as Big Foot Fling. Why is that so, surely there's gotta be a way to play in both and run them at least one weekend off from each other? I'm starting to think ... show more ›

This is two years in a row on the same day as Big Foot Fling. Why is that so, surely there's gotta be a way to play in both and run them at least one weekend off from each other? I'm starting to think this is intentional and that one TD doesn't like the other tournament and is trying to pull people away... because here in Phoenix when they had to change the tournament at Vista to accommodate the course work, other tournaments were willing to make an adjustment to not cross over the same date...
