We can’t wait for tomorrow! We have a few more updates to keep everything flowing smoothly tomorrow.

We will be using the awesome new feature on PDGA with multiple players taking live scores at the same time (Only 1 scorekeeper needed, but up to 4, if desired), everything you need to know about it is below. https://www.pdga.com/help/tournament-central/multiple-scorekeepers

With concerns for back-ups, have have added 6 lost disc/provisionals pads in play on hole 1, 4, 6, 10, 13, 18. Two of these pads are the Intermediate pads already in place on Hole 1 and 6. The other 4 are indicated by orange pin flags. All players in the group must help look for the missing disc for at least three minutes, before it is declared lost. One of the best ways to avoid backups is to watch all player’s drives until they come to rest in your group. Please help each other out.

Be at your tee time tomorrow at least 15 minutes before hand. You can double check your tee time on PDGA.com

Hello players,

As we get closer to the 15th Annual Lemmon drop 2021 presented by Legacy Discs and Moon Smoke Shop, we have some updates and info. Also, we will have a video players meeting closer to the event for more details.

To get 148 players in the tournament, with the shorter days, we are starting tee times early, so that everyone can be down before dusk.

For this years 18 hole course, we are estimating the rounds at approximately 3 1/2 hours. Tee times will begin with the AM divisions starting at approximately 7:30am in groups of 4 players with 10 minute intervals. The last pro card will be headed out at approximately 1:30pm. Tee times and cards will be by division and we are not taking any card-mate requests.

We have some phenomenal Pros coming down the slopes in the afternoon, so we encourage those with earlier tee times to check out the action after their round. A large portion of the course will be visible from the deck and surrounding areas, so players should be able to spectate safely at a distance, and watch live scores on their phones. Many will grab lunch or a snack at the Iron Door Restaurant or Fudge & Grub Stake on premises (open until 4:30 PM) and go back to watch the action.

For many of the locals, this is traditionally one of the most beautiful weekends of the year on Mount Lemmon, and we may experience autumn and fall colors. In the best of conditions, it will be very cold at night and in the morning (lows in the 30s). It’s important that everyone is prepared for the worst, just in case. Rain, snow, and high winds are always a possibility. Rain protection, layers of clothes, walking sticks, and good footwear are highly recommended.

The crew at Ski Valley does an amazing job every year prepping the for snow, and they clear much of the overgrowth on the slopes. We have no guarantees that they will be able to get to any/all of this before the event, but even if they did, it’s easy for an errant drive to go deep into the woods and overgrowth under them. Because of this, we recommend bright discs (red and pink may be ideal depending on the current ground colors). We also recommend watching every throw of your card-mates until it comes to rest. Discs will also fly much more over-stable at elevation (8k-9k), so under-stable at light weight discs will fly straighter for you.

Safety is of upmost importance, so we will have hazardous lie rules in place for the course. More about this in the video players meeting, so everything will be clear before you hit the slopes.

OK, gang. Im going to be coming in from Nowhere, MI.

1. Anybody in the Tucson area willing to let me crash on their couch Tuesday/Wednesday. I'll be in for the Kaufinator Battle Tag wrap up, so need a place in town before heading into the mountains.

2. Anybody have a spot in a cabin or want to go in on a cabin up by the course? I don't have a driver's license, so I need to find lodging close to the course.

15th annual 2021 Lemmon Drop registration and schedule update.
This prestigious disc golf event takes place only once a year on the majestic Ski Valley. The Course Construction Crew, a small army of volunteers, come to together to build 18 holes for 4 days of extreme disc golf down ski runs on this bucket list course.

Registration:
• Staff/CCC is currently open until 5/13/21 6pm pst
• Early Bird Hole Sponsors opens Friday 5/14/2021 at 7pm Arizona time (10pm est/7pm pst) and closes exactly 1 week later when General Registration opens.
• General Registration opens Friday 5/21/2021 7pm Arizona time (10pm est/7pm pst)
• 148 total players (68 Pro/80 Amateur)

Optional pre-events:
• Wednesday (10/13/2021) Kaufinator year end tag battle (detail TBA)
• Thursday (10/14/2021) Bring your own partner doubles, 3 divisions Am/Am, Am/Pro, Pro/Pro. All players play the 2021 LD Pro pad layout (Online registration TBA)

Event schedule:
Friday-Sunday (10/15-10/17/2021) Tee times via bus or lift for all players each day.
All pro division, ADV, and MA40 play the 2021 LD Pro pads layout.
All additional AM divisions play the 2021 LD AM pads layout (Adjusted tee pads on 3 holes)

Pro $133 entry + $42 green fees for $175 total
AM $108 entry + $42 green fees for $150 total

Early Bird Hole Sponsorship:
• Observing new PDGA reservation limits, only 20-30 Early Bird Sponsorships spots will be available. Exact number will be posted by 5/13/21 @ 7pm. New this year, Early Bird buying options will be available for one week only. When we hit our max we will be sold out.

Ace pool:
• $20 (split evenly over all aces)
• If no ace is recorded during the event, all ace pool participants will be assigned a number and a random draw number generator will pick 10 unique numbers/ace pool participants to split the total ace pool evenly on 10/18/2021. Drawing will be video recorded and winnings will be electronically distributed within 48 hours of drawing.
