WELCOME to the Throwing Down the Gauntlet 2026 at Texas Army Trail, an Armory Disc Golf Platinum Tier Event Sponsored by MVP Disc Sports!
This functions as a stand alone tournament (payouts as normal, etc) PLUS earns points towards the Throwing Down the Gauntlet season tour, the largest disc golf tournament series held across Texas. Earn points and an invitation to the Invitational Championship October 2-4, where you'll compete for over $10,000 in added cash + prizes spread across all divisions!
In addition to playing for yourself individually, you will also choose one of three factions to represent for the year. Your performance will earn points for your chosen side as well as towards your own points standing in TDTG 2026. All year long the three factions will be competing for bragging rights, so choose wisely and lead your team to victory!

Faction choices are "for fun" and do not have an impact on your personal TDTG ranking or performance in this individual event
Throwing Down the Gauntlet 2026
Winners for each division of 5 or more players will receive an AUTOMATIC bid to the End of Season Championship, where they will compete for THOUSANDS of dollars in added cash + prizes!
This event will have a 4x point multiplier for this event for Throwing Down the Gauntlet Season Points Standings

-This will be a 2 day 2 round event, with both rounds being held at Texas Army Trail in Cypress, TX
- Multiple CTP prizes up for grabs for free in round 1
- Mega CTP, Longest Putt, and Most Consecutive Putts competitions will take place on Day 1 (by Tournament HQ)
Tournament Day
- Round 1 tee times will start @ 9am with 12 minute intervals

- Payout will be run after each division submits final scores
- Players Pack for all Amateur divisions will be provided. CUSTOM WORK from MVP Disc Sports and Armory Disc Golf, artwork done by Kelly "Kob" Baber

Refund policy
THERE WILL BE A NON-REFUNDABLE $5 FEE FOR ALL REGISTRATIONS
Cancellations will be refunded minus the $5 cancellation fee up until 5 days before the tournament begins. Refunds within 5 days of tournament date will ONLY be granted if that spot is filled before the tournament begins, either by a waitlist player or new entry. Entry fees for dropouts that are not filled within the final 5 days will be added to the tournament payout pool. Ams who drop out during this window and are not refunded will still be eligible to receive their player packs from The Armory Disc Golf Shop within 30 days after the tournament.
