WELCOME to the Throwing Down the Gauntlet at Jones Creek Ranch, an Armory Disc Golf Gold Tier Event Sponsored by MVP Disc Sports!

This functions as a stand alone tournament (payouts as normal, etc) PLUS earns points towards the Throwing Down the Gauntlet season tour, a year-long points series of tournaments held across Texas that culminates in our Invitational Championship October 4-5th (see below for more info)

In addition to playing for yourself individually, you will also choose a faction to represent (The Steel Legion or The Woodland Syndicate) and your performance will earn points for your chosen side. Join us for the yearly battle between the two and lead your team to victory!

Throwing Down the Gauntlet 2025

Winners for each division of 3 or more players will receive an AUTOMATIC bid to the End of Season Championship, where they will compete for THOUSANDS of dollars in added cash + prizes!

This event will have a 3x point multiplier for this event for Throwing Down the Gauntlet Season Points Standings

Food Bank Fundraising
This year we're raising funds for the Brazos Valley Food Bank, which is celebrating its 40th year of helping families in need. As part of this we've partnered with MVP Disc Sports, who is offering a MASSIVE yearlong raffle with prizes valued at over $1000. 100% of proceeds from raffle tickets will go directly towards the food bank for their Thanksgiving distribution this year.

Let's come together for a great cause and win some free disc golf gear in the process!

Raffle prizes include Black Hole Pro HD, Parsec Rangefinder, Disc Stations, POD Disc Stacker, ARM retriever, dozens of MVP Lab Second discs, and more!

General

-This will be a 2 round event, with both rounds being held at Jones Creek Ranch in Richmond, TX

- SEVERAL CTP prizes up for grabs for free

- Mega CTP and Ring of Fire after the second round for free prizes!

Tournament Day
Tournament Headquarters will be the pavilion near hole 18.

- Round 1 will start @ 9am with a players meeting at 8:30 am

- Hole assignments will be listed on the Armory Disc Golf Facebook page and the PDGA event page

- There will be a ~1.5ish hour lunch break after the last card is turned in, and round 2 will start promptly after. Check our Facebook page update thread or PDGA event page for the exact start time of the second round

THERE WILL BE A NON-REFUNDABLE $5 FEE FOR ALL REGISTRATIONS

Cancellations will be refunded minus the $5 cancellation fee up until 5 days before the tournament begins. Refunds within 5 days of tournament date will ONLY be granted if that spot is filled before the tournament begins, either by a waitlist player or new entry. Entry fees for dropouts that are not filled within the final 5 days will be added to the tournament payout pool. Ams who drop out during this window and are not refunded will still be eligible to receive their player packs from The Armory Disc Golf Shop within 30 days after the tournament.
