Friday, August 14th - competition Round 1.

Saturday, August 15th - competition Round 2.

Glow Round at Water Works Park (8 pm).

Sunday, August 16th - competition Final Round.

Player Pack pick up Friday-Sunday from 11-5 at Nexus Disc Golf. After that, you must make arrangements to pick up your PP; you have 30 days from the end of the event.

PLAYER CAPS, DIVISIONS, & ADJUSTMENTS

Player divisions and listed caps will be offered until July 15, 2026, and then adjustments will be made.
Empty divisions may be eliminated and based upon demand, caps may be increased or lowered for each division and Pool.
If you plan on playing in a division with lower demand, please register ASAP.

Final cap, division, and Pool adjustments will be made August 7, 2026.

SCORING

The Kansas City Wide Open will utilize PDGA live scoring, and live scoring will be your official scorecard (https://www.pdga.com/score). The access code will be provided to you on day one of the event before your Round One tee time. Paper scorecards will be made available at each course for backup purposes. Every player (or caddie on behalf of the player) on each card is required to keep score. Reconcile scores (if using paper) at the end of each round and make sure to finalize your PDGA scorecard.

RULES

As this is a PDGA sanctioned event (and disc golf is a self-governed sport) please familiarize yourself with the rules:

If the card has a disagreement over the rules or the application of the rules, please do not engage in argument. Simply play a provisional, finish the hole from both positions, record both scores, and see your course director after the round has concluded. Your course director, as a PDGA official, will make a ruling.

The Caddie Book and PDGA digital scorecard will have all course and hole rules. Please refer to those resources.

PASS THROUGH FEES

$4 PDGA fee
$3 Club fee to KCDG, Inc., which supports volunteer activity throughout the year.
$4 TD fee (this fee helps support the volunteers for the event!)

This event is capped to 170 Amateur players due to Player pack restrictions

FOR AMATEURS

For amateur players, this will be a True Amateur event. What does that mean?

The PDGA provides information about True Amateur events at https://www.pdga.com/td/true-amateur - be sure to check it out. Essentially, True Amateur events focus on providing an outstanding event experience (including the player pack) and less on payouts. With that in mind, please note:

YOU HAVE 30 DAYS TO REDEEM YOUR VOUCHER PER PDGA RULES

Kansas City Disc Golf, Inc. is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.

All refunds are subject to a $10 processing fee.

The PDGA Withdrawals and Refund rule will be followed. Please see https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/103 for specifics.

Players who officially request to withdraw from an event at least 30 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee (less the $10 processing fee).

Within 29 days of the event, Pro players will receive 100% monetary refund of their entry fee (less the $10 processing fee) until registration closes, if the entry is filled from the waitlist. After registration closes, no refund will be awarded.

Within 29 days of the event, Amateur players will receive 100% monetary refund of their entry fee (less the $10 processing fee) until registration closes, if the entry is filled from the waitlist. If the entry is NOT filled from the waitlist, the player will receive the player pack or 50% of entry in lieu of a monetary refund..

After registration is closed and waitlist are filled there will be no refunds! You will however receive a refund for any extra items that you purchased through registration.

No call/no shows will receive no refund or player packs.
