About this tournament
2 rounds of play
Welcome to the inaugural Duck's Northtown Showdown!
This event is a 1 day, 2 round PDGA sanctioned C tier at Water Works Park. Round 1 will play to all long pins at Water Works, including a pin or two that are rarely used. Round 2 will play to all short pins.
Arguably, the hot round during round 1 will set a course record for the long pins. Why arguably? Because in 2019, the baskets were replaced, and new pins were added. I do not know of an event, sanctioned or otherwise, where all long pins were used.
Arguably, the hot round during round 2 will set a course record for the short pins. Why arguably? Same rationale as above. That said, there might have been an even with all short pins. I'm not sure.
Regardless, we'll have a special prize for the overall hot round each round!
Each player will receive a player pack consisting of a disc from Mint Discs, a $5 credit at Duck's Flying Discs - Kansas City, and another item (I think).
Each player selects a disc from the following selection of Mint Discs (supplies of each mold are limited of course):
Profit 2/3/0/3 beaded putter Royal - Medium plastic
Jackalope 8/5/-2/1 Eternal or Apex plastic
Mustang 5/5/0/2 Eternal plastic
Goat 12/4/-1/3 Apex plastic
Lobster 5/5/-3/1 Apex plastic
Bobcat 5/4/0/2.5 Sublime plastic
Diamondback 9/5/-2/2 Apex plastic
Grackle 7/5/-1/2 Sublime plastic
Amateur payout will be through Duck's Flying Discs - Kansas City and will be good through the end of 2022.
See you at Water Works Park on October 22!
