ABOUT THIS TOURNAMENT

This is the first event for the 2026 British Columbia Women's Series! The BCWS is a series of 6 events held throughout British Columbia from April to September. We are a series run for women, by women.
The British Columbia Women's Series is a series of trophy only inclusive events to support, mentor, encourage and grow women and junior girl's participation in disc golf; a place where women and girls can feel safe and empowered. Please read all of the information carefully prior to registering. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.

CHOOSING YOUR DIVISION
The BCWS operates as a point series: each registrant contributes a series fee, which is later allocated as prize payouts to top competitors in each division upon completion of the series. If you are a PRO or Amateur looking to compete for Series Points and Finale Cash Prizes, it is advisable to choose your division wisely. To qualify for series payouts, players must take part in at least three BCWS events and must compete in the same division across all six series events to earn points.
If you plan to play numerous PDGA-sanctioned events this season, it is likely your player ratings will fluctuate based on performance and participation. For example, if you register in FA3 with a current rating of 770 but subsequently reach 775, you would no longer be eligible for FA3. Consider that increased activity may lead to upward changes in your rating, so select your division carefully, as podium points are not transferable between divisions—only participation points can transfer.
For those not focused on cash prizes and simply wishing to participate, you may enroll in any division best suited to your preferences. If you are a 52-year-old amateur seeking age-appropriate competition, register in FA50. Generally, PRO divisions are highly competitive, FA1 is competitive, FA2 is intermediate, FA3 is recreational, FA4 is novice, and age-protected divisions cater specifically to age groups. Players cannot be rated out of age-protected divisions. PDGA age eligibility is determined by the year of birth; players qualify for age-based divisions if they will reach the qualifying age during the calendar year. The FJ divisions are reserved for junior girls.
SCOREKEEPING
We will be using PDGA digital scorecards for this event, but paper scorecards will be available if you need them. In accordance with Rule 808 Scoring, ALL players on each card MUST keep score.
CADDY BOOKS
These will be emailed out the week leading up to the tournament.
