Rick and I got some more trail work at Canyonview Camp accomplished today so with the help last week from Salem Academy and today's work getting closer to be done. No more 'Black diamond run' trail down to the bus. Still more to do but getting closer.

Shave strokes off your game by hitting more of those long putts. Welcome to come visit Hawg Farm Disc Putting Range and work on those long putts up to 60 feet. Catch net behind basket for those fast putts. Also driving net to help the arm up for those big drives. Give a holler if want to visit and we will get time worked out. Distance lines 10' interval with 10 meter arc marked for putt jumping. Evenings are nice now and lights if needed.

I'm currently planning on being at Woodmansee by 3 if not earlier to shoot some video experiments and such. Should be nice day of weather if anyone can or wants to join me. If my car (red saturn) there I;m on course somewhere.

Looking to do some more testing of video setup and looking for some volunteers this week. Depending on who is interested we can set date/time/location. Want to experiment with different types of shots and looking for some folks to toss some discs for me. Also if interested in future editing or shooting video let me know please. Looking for volunteers with or without experience as this is new to me for the most part. I can set up editing software as required. Thanks, Steve

Camp Taloali Update:

For anyone that does not already have plans for this Saturday, fresh from Nate Boyes about getting some work done on course. He will be down for a visit and work.

"We be there by 9 Saturday. Goal is to work on signs, some alt pin moving and installation and maybe do 2 more teepads. Want clear the alley fairway on 17. Moving 17a to new farther placement. Bring everything. We will need cement and water of course. Todd focusing on signs, I focus on alt pins. Then 2 ... more

Great day news flash...
I would like to take the time to put a BIG thanks out to Steve Winslow and his group of helpers to accomplish the pouring of final 14 tee pads at Camp Taloali. Also thanks out to Americorp helpers that also participated in this project. I don't know all involved but do know that Steve Winslow and Scottish Rob will have a vacation to remember, thanks guys.

For general announcement to any one interested. I am no longer associated with PacWest DGA. Our going of the ways came after the end of a discussion about it all. For the best of PacWest I have stepped aside and wish them well on future endeavors. I will still be active to some degree with the disc golf community and future projects, as that is all I've tried to do in past years. Difference for now it will be not associated with any group in particular and more like the old man from th ... more

Thanks to those yesterday that got 6 rubber pads in place at Canyonview Camp, way better then it would of been for those holes for the Ice Bowl today . Thanks to Lee helping me get them from Adair to the camp, and Willamette DG club for allowing the whole thing to happen in the first place. Great job all for helping me get that project handled.

Lee is supposed to be grabbing my lights and have them with him tonight for Lunar league at Woodmansee, so course will be lit by Hawgfarm lighting again

Just getting back from Adair and good fun round. Also with big thanks out to Lee for driving and trailer we were able to pick up the two framed tee pads that we knew were for us. I had pleasant surprise 1/2 way or so thru my round when Jay Sexton met up with me to inform me we could also have 4 rolled up rubber pads and stakes to go with. This was a very pleasant surprise and we now have 6 rubber pads for CanyonView course till permanent ones get in. Big shout out to Willamette DGC, Lee for ... more
