Great putting at doubles Sunday dude!

Ryan Sitler    January 5, 2009 at 2:26pm

thanks john, much appreciated.

You can now set the locations for tournaments *and* leagues to be up to 300 miles out of your club's home state. If that doesn't cover it, let me know.

And you can actually edit the hole-by-hole scores and comments for tournament and league scores. It came from a sneaky update a few weeks ago that was never announced. In your master list of scores ('Scores' tab), hit the 'Edit' link next to the scores you want to add the info to.

Ryan Sitler    December 24, 2008 at 9:42pm

You playing much golf around the holidays? I'm not around athens for the next 2 weeks but after that I'll be a regular at sunday doubles

Pete Crist    December 24, 2008 at 12:52am

Nice course pictures, John. Course pictures will be way more navigable and customizable soon, maybe as a late Christmas present for the d golf community. Happy holidays, man.

Ryan Sitler    December 22, 2008 at 12:26pm

Hey John. Yeah I was in Westerville working for my Aunt, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to play. I didn't just play alone, I was the only one at the course. I was surprised some of the Columbus disc junkies weren't out.

Pete Crist    December 18, 2008 at 8:18pm

John, no problem. I am on my way out of town for the weekend, so I will add the 18-hole layout as soon as I get a chance. Thanks!

Ira Poplar-Jeffers    December 15, 2008 at 9:22am

Can't wait to see you in the spring man! Not sure if I'm doing the Fairmont Ice Bowl or not. I probably should as it would be a great excuse to get up there and see Walt and Sarah and Josh Smith. Are you doing that one? Peace.

Ira Poplar-Jeffers    December 8, 2008 at 9:41am

John. What's up buddy?!? How's the DG been? I've been having a pretty poor streak recently. Last tourney I didn't get over 900 rating in any one of three rounds...DOH! I gotta get back in shape. Getting married does crazy things to a guy! OK...hope all is well, can't wait to throw some disc with you this spring!

Jeremy Meier    November 22, 2008 at 5:03pm

Hey John glad i found you on here. Like I need another Disc Golf site to get addicted to.

Pete Crist    November 20, 2008 at 1:38pm

It may be a while because the whole course pictures section is being updated, but if I get a chance to make this quick fix, I will.

Pete Crist    November 18, 2008 at 3:40pm

Thanks, excellent feedback. Hopefully we'll be able to get tournament scores directly from the PDGA soon so you won't have to worry about entering them manually, but you make a very good point and I will update the scoring system for the time being. Also, make sure you hit 'Finalize Results' from the tournament scoring page when you're done posting- it will add those tournament scores to your profile. I have been kicking around the idea of course reviews for a while now. It's kind of difficult ... more

Pete Crist    November 17, 2008 at 4:12pm

Hi John, yes, the whole course pictures section will be updated shortly. I'll let you know when the changes are up. Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions or ideas about scoring your league.

Pete Crist    November 13, 2008 at 11:00pm

Radius driver and putter added.

Have you thrown either of those? Any good?

Pete Crist    November 5, 2008 at 9:09pm

Thank you sir. We're trying to keep personal scoring as clean and easy as possible, but because there are many courses with changing layouts, we may have to break the mold. Thanks again for the info.

Pete Crist    November 5, 2008 at 7:49pm

Added three holes to Forked Run. Does it make sense to have A, B and C pins, etc. as layouts, or are the pin positions changed randomly? If you have a list of common layouts, let me know and I'll get them on here. Thanks.

Pete Crist    November 5, 2008 at 5:10pm

Hi John. Will the 21-hole layouts still be an option? And will there be blue and red tees with A, B and C pins for each of the 3 new holes?

Pete Crist    November 3, 2008 at 5:27pm

Excellent point, John. We're still deciding how to implement a home area for clubs rather than a single home course, but you will probably see an update in the next week or so. I will keep you posted- thanks for the feedback!

Elite Z Avenger

172g - new

BH disc, usually on windy days.

Dave Feldberg Champion Boss

175g - new

Primarily BH throws as I'm still getting accustomed to throwing this new disc.

Elite Z Crush

172g - worn

My favorite disc that's sort of all-purpose. Thrown BH/FH. FH roller, FH skips off the surface. This one skips off the ground 9 out of 10 times.

ProLine Destroyer

169g - worn

My biggest distance go-to disc for both BH/FH throws.

Star Destroyer

175g - new

BH/FH distance driver on open fairways.

Elite Z Flash

174g - new

FH right doglegs - Whenever I can skip off the ground!

Sirius Orion LS

169g - worn

Similar to Sidewinders, but a bit more reliable!

Champion Roadrunner

170g - beat

BH - fades to the right at the end and as a BH roller. Pretty much the only disc I use to throw tomahawks too.

DGA ProLine Rogue

175g - new

FH/BH - This disc's usually my primary driver.

Champion Sidewinder

165g - worn

Same as Star Sidewinder

Star Sidewinder

170g - worn

FH - straight & tunnel shots/BH - straight/right fades at end

169g - worn

FH - straight tunnel shots/BH - right fades

FLX Surge

168g - new

Seldom used disc for straight fairways under 300ft.

Star TeeRex

171g - worn

FH - 200-300ft hyzers

ProLine Wraith

171g - worn

My other go-to distance disc - both BH/FH. Just NOT on windy days!

Star XCaliber

172g - new

Mainly a FH disc thrown on open or wide fairways.

DX Roc

180g - worn

(Ontario Roc) Mid-range approaches.

Super Roc

179g - new

Straight mid-range approaches, especially on windy days.

Ken Climo ProLine Roc

170g - worn

BH/FH approaches & sometimes used as a controlled roller.

Champion Spider

168g - worn

My most reliable and accurate approach disc.

ESP Wasp

177g - worn

Straight & sure shots. Oh yeah....whenever there's ace runs! (Aced twice with my wasp.)

Swirl APX

172g - worn

My MAIN putter...what else? Discraft needs to bring this disc back!!

ProLine Rhyno

175g - worn

Mid-range & downhill throws that are less than 280.
