Greetings all!
League is tomorrow, Saturday, at Camp Catalpa in Richmond. I wanted to touch base with most of you to make sure we're all on the same page as far as league moving forward.
As of right now, despite restrictions on gathering slowly going into place, we are still good to run The Weekenders PDGA league. We are bound though to follow local distancing guidance in conjunction with the PDGA sanctioning agreement. We are still planning on trying to finish all 10 weeks of the league. BUT, we need a minimum of 6 weeks to even be considered a league to turn in scores. I hope we don't end up having an issue with finishing the rest of our league but you never know. So as of right now we can still move forward as planned, counting the best 6/10 weeks for payout. If stuff changes, like it tends to, but maybe not, but who knows, then we can figure out how to break down payout based off of weeks played so far.
That being said, I think it's important that we do heed the advice given in light of current changes related to covid 19 and distancing. All I ask is that we don't congregate before starting and try to tee off when you arrive. If possible, try and show up with league players ready to go. A minimum of 3 players is required to start a round. Both myself and Laffin will no longer be there starting at 9 and checking everyone in. I'll show up shortly before 10, and tee off with anyone still waiting to play their round with a card. Without myself or Laffin being there anymore, we CANNOT accept new members to league moving forward. Anyone that has signed a waiver previously can play though, whether bought into the full league or have been paying day of for the rated round. If you have been paying day of and wish to keep doing so. Payment will now be accepted only through paypal at [email redacted] and is still $5.
When you have a card together and are ready to play, go ahead and start by logging into pdga.com/score PASSWORD: week20 and start playing. I will go ahead and set up a ctp flag tonight for hole #3.
I have switched Ace Pool to paypal for those that want to continue trying to hit one. Paypal is now accepting money pools at no charge. There is a WEEKENDERS LEAGUE ACE POOL that you can log into and pay before your round. Cost is still $1. You can do that anytime before your round starts tomorrow at the link below. If you want to buy into CTP as well, just add $2 extra when you buy into the ace pool. I will separate out weekly CTP from ace pool afterwards.

I will also post this to facebook to help get people on the same page and help arrange for players to show up and be able to play with others without waiting around. As long as you tee off before 10:30 with a group, I will count the rounds for league. No rounds later in the day or make up rounds are permitted.
See you guys there though, or maybe not..., who knows. If you have any more questions just message me back privately so we don't spam everyones email with questions. Sorry about all these changes so last minute, but that seems to be the way this whole year has been thus far.
