Week #4, 2 Aces in One Night!

Hello again friends and followers of this league. We have wrapped up another night of definitive disc domination that was delivered by the doers of the disc dance. The weather was near perfect and people were even better, as the discs destroyed their destination and the spectators enjoyed the show. And what a show it was! Long throws, big putts, tree misses, and big skipping were out there making it happen and the players were ready to let loose.

The team that really found their groove on this fine evening was Frances Adzima and Brody (did he really throw that far?) Cannon who stole the show with a near perfect score of -17!! On 18 holes. Yes they did. 2nd place belonged to Andrew Jewell and Scott Garver at -15 and rounding out the top 3 teams was 3x Champoeg Dubs champ Finan Snyder and Xander Waibel with a -13. Nice tossing there guys.

The real show stopping action came from the double shot of basket attacking that saw 2 players send their disc from pad to pin in one fell swoop. That's right folks after seeing no aces for the first 3 weeks of league 2 were hit last night. The first shot fired was from Ken Acquin on Hole 18 as he crashed chains and cashed in. Not more than 30min later the course erupted again as Jay Snow sent his disc home on Hole 1 to get his piece of the pie. Hot Damn!

The competition is fierce and the fun is just beginning. With 9 weeks left in the season there is still time to get some points and earn some raffle tickets. Or challenge our new longest putt champion, (Raj Patel who sunk it from 79' 10") or be the next weekly golfer to be sponsored by Oregon Sports and Family Chiropractic like James Merriam. Just get out to Thursday Night Random Dubs. And mark your calendars for the big Finale on Saturday August 29th. It will be................ wait for it................legendary! See you out there.

"Stupid Tree!" yells the disc golfer as his drive hits that tree.
"Stupid Human!" thinks the tree as he uses his branches to gesture towards all the open air the disc golfer completely avoided.
