Want to start a thread for anyone looking for open courses in the area. Just ran up to Bay Court in Waterford and they're closed. We obviously still have the cut through at Holly off Tindell Rd. Anyone know of any others? Someone mentioned Rolling Hills is open. Is Firefighters still open? Was up there Saturday and then Cass Benton on Sunday. Both were open then, not sure about now. Hoping this will help us keep our sanity!
From what I've heard, all parks (any kind) in OAKLAND County are closed. Cops kicked some people out of Wags last week. That's all I know.
I think it would be best is anyone finding a closed park, post a comment on that course page. I know that Bandemere and Mary Beth Doyle both have postings letting us know they are closed. I REALLY encourage everyone to abide by closing notifications. Players ignoring these could easily put the future of the course at risk.
As far as I know Frankenmuth is still open.
Is Kensington still open?
Just please remember, the virus can live on metal up to 3 days so if you're sick don't go (the baskets can be a source of transmission)
x2 what Steve said...
I took a look at the Oakland County Parks website and facebook. It states that the parks are open. Dog parks, activity and park facilities are closed. States that porta johns are available. That is not to say that golfers are not being asked to leave, but I could find nothing at this point. I ... more

It looks like the parks department is answering questions there.
Sounds like it's only a matter of time till they're all closed. Those that are currently open will draw a larger crowd making them a risk to play at. Sounds like I'll be taking my basket out to make my own course...
Honestly...I have been out to play a few times in the last week or so. Every time I am out, I see groups of 5-8 guys, carpooling to the course, playing without ANY consideration to distancing or safe social interaction. As long as there are shortsighted, selfish behavior like that, all courses are at risk. Park systems and/or municipal entities are not going to allow any activity that demonstrates potential for group activity. I think you are right Austin, guess it is a good time to sharpen those putting skills. Save lives, be safe.
Played wagner yesterday. No problems. ZERO cops. Handful of groups playing & few families playing with kids.
