Major changes done to the course yesterday, final layout is completed but still some additional work to do. Layout is as followed: Hole 1 pin will return to its original position on the West side of the church, behind and to the left of current 9’s teepad, on the backside of the large mounds of dirt. Long tee at 375’, short 330’. The tees are located on the sidewalk near the No Thru Traffic sign (flags are posted) playing over or around the hill. Current 9 will then be Hole 2 (no changes) with the course continuing clockwise around the church. Hole 3 basket has been moved to the right behind the large pine tree and a long tee has been added. Long at 282’, short at 177’. 4 unchanged. Short tee has been added to hole 5 at 425’. Hole 6 (over the ‘swamp’) basket has been moved back and to the right, short tee has been added at the corner water edge. Long at 385’, short at 295’. Hole 7 is a brand new hole, tee to the left and forward of 6 basket. Fairway plays back towards Ridge Rd, basket on the other side of the tall reeds at 255’. For now play is over or around the reeds, but eventually will be a triple Mando wall to play through. Long tee has been added to Hole 8 at 350’. Hole 9 (left of basketball net) unchanged. The 2 holes in the woods no longer exist. Hole 10 (mando left of tree) unchanged. Hole 11 basket has been moved to the right and back, long tee now 250’, short 210’. Hole 12 was moved to the left and back making either a long tunnel shot or high hyzer. Long tee 277’, short 229’. Hole 13 unchanged. Short tee has been added to hole 14 up and to the left of long tee, basket moved back into the wooded area. Long tee 425’, short 285’. Hole 15 and 16 unchanged. Hole 17 is now an elevated basket. Hole 18 will, by next Tuesday, have a short tee at approximately 255’. We are also planning to put concrete on every hole, but we need your help raising the funds for it to be possible by the end of the year. If you or someone you know play would like to contribute to our fundraising, please visit https://www.gofundme.com/concrete-tee-pads-for-northridge-disc-golf-course pc=sms_db_co2876_v1&rcid=836eaf0a2a4d4020886503eceb31639c . Even $5 gets us closer to our goal!

When are we getting the video flyby of each hole? I feel like I need a visual of all the changes, lol. Looking forward to playing the new setup.

When everything is completely finished we’ll be getting drone fairway shots.

Sounds pretty cool. Good work Kevin. Props to you for putting the work in to improve a local course my only critique would be to ask why the need to have a long pad and short pad within 50ft of each other? Seems really unnecessary. If there is room to have at least a 100ft to 150ft gap you should do that. Or just have the 1 pad on the hole be the long pad. Just my 2 cents

Hole 1 was (I thought) necessary, as there is an OB sidewalk that runs across the fairway at the base of the hill. It would be a distinct disadvantage to the AM players from the longer tee at that distance, if the drive doesnt clear the hill, which currently is about 8-10' high it would most likely roll down to the sidewalk.
