New 18 hole course North of Original Course @ Rolling Hills - Update Jan 8th

First - Thanks Chris & Brian for your comments - not sure anyone was seeing these post and I appreciate hearing back and your kind words.

This Saturday I will be out Planting 5 basket Sleeves I just got from the park, along with cement. I will be working on Holes 10-13 first making a playable loop 16, 10-15 - Seven hole loop ending up at Original Hole #2 tee pad. So players could begin to play 25 holes between the new and original course. 1 original, the new holes 16, 10-15, Then Original 2-18. These new holes have been cleared and will be mowed. hole 13 still has a lot of brush laying on the fairway that I cut today that needs to be pulling off into the woods. I will also do a final clearing on 16 which is looking a lot better. There are 5 baskets assembled in the rental shop ready to go in once these sleeve are cemented in. Hopefully next week the park crew will run the baskets out for us and lock them in.

Magic Mike V has a Post hole digger but is fighting the flu currently. Get well quickly Mike. Anyone who want to help is always welcomed. I will be out from 11:00 - 5:00 this Saturday so even if you just have an hour and want to help it will make a difference and will be appreciated. Holes 11-13 are just north of Original Holes 4 & 5 in the woods across the ski trail.

I normally work Saturday and Sunday 10:30 - til Close (~5:15) and will also work lunch time during the week for an hour or so when possible. You can always hit me up 734-678-5593 Pulling brush into the woods can be done any time and is a big time and back saver for me.

I'd be happy to walk the whole course with anyone who is interested but with the map and the cleared paths and temp signs it is very intuitive or find a girl scout to help you find your way.

I'd really like to get some good measurements even with the current temp tee pads if anyone wants to help with that activity it would be great. Mike has been doing some quick measurements from time to time but I'd like to get a wheel or laser and get a complete list.

Still need some small brush clearing on Holes 4, 7 & 8. I have tools - just hit me up.

Ill be out Thursday and Friday at Lunch 11:30 - 1:00 trying to finish some of the final clearing and clean up on Holes 10-16 and mow holes 12 & 13 with a beat-up old lawn mower that and Friend donated to the effort (Thanks JJ). I have been using it to mow 10, 11, 14, 15 & 16 already
