Can someone explain to me why someone would want to play in a Sanctioned league?
I guess I could ask the same thing about tournaments, why have ratings at all? for top players they are pointless, but for those that are not pro, they help placing people in divisions, then you have have AM players trying to boost there rating over 935 so they can play amNats
Bragging rights smashing on all my AM friends is why I show up, plus ctps, ace pool and everyone pitches in money for payouts. I like it better than traditional dubs leagues, its on you, not on luck of draw dubs.

Yup that’s why we have singles league every Sunday at willow 11am :)

I find the sanctioned singles just the right mix between tournament golf (without the all day commitment) and the more casual doubles leagues. Play in general tends to be competitive and follows the rules of the game. Knowing your score affects your rating tends to make people play a little more seriously. Like a one round tournament each week, with a slightly more casual format (you get to pick your own group to play with). I too became disillusioned with doubles after awhile. I also like the travelling course aspect of this league in particular. It may not be for everyone D, but you should come out and try it some time. It’s been awhile since we played.
Love playing with you Scott.
