Hello Fellow Disc Golf Athlete,
We want you to know about a big day for disc golf in the ATL. Our sport will be in the Atlanta media’s spotlight, as WSB and Innova Disc’s social media group will be participating in/covering the Toys for Tot’s event at J.P. Moseley park. We want you to be a part.
Here is what is happening. The Atlanta disc golf community is coming together to collect toys and raise funds for the USMC Toys for Tots. We are raising funds through player registration, hole sponsorship and by raffling some amazing prizes. (More on the prizes below) We are asking each player to also bring a new unwrapped toy to the event. The response has been wonderful. We have already collected two chests of toys and raised several thousand dollars. This is all to honor Atlanta’s own Captain Herb Emory.
There are several ways that you can help. First, you can go to the link below and register. You can also purchase raffle tickets there -(More on the prizes below). We mentioned registration first, because with so much media attention, we want a full field to show everyone just how much our sport has grown. There are other ways that you can help. You can also bring a new unwrapped toy. A manager from Toys for Tots will be there to accept it. You can also buy raffle tickets for some awesome prizes. Here is a list of what you can win. Note that you do not have to be present to win.
· Helicopter Ride in the WSB Traffic Chopper
· One Hour Delta Airlines Simulator Experience
· Fully Loaded Hero pack bag from Innova Discs
· Two separate boxes of great items:
o Two signed books from Andrew Zimmern plug goodies
o Free food from Foxy Fox Pizza and Wild Wings
o Free oil chance and tire rotation from Xpress Tires in Griffin
