Red Hot Rob Tucker drained a sanctioned ace on hole 8 from the Black Pads at Sunday Service today. Despite the ace, Tucker came in second with a 57 to overhander Reed Irvine's smokin' first place 53.
Irvine, who's been fine tuning his sidearm and backhand game, scored a bogey-free round with impressive birdies at holes 1, 3, 4, 14, and 18.
Legend Isaac Yarbrough continues to shave strokes off his totals and turned in a 104, nearly 20 strokes less than his last outing from the long pads. Other notables include step-brothers Trip Barnes and Andy Appling who shot rather pedestrian 63's for the round. Weather was not to blame as this was the finest Sunday Service as per temp and lack of precipitation in many weeks. The rounds began with a cool mid-70's and low humidity as a hint at the Autumn rounds to come in the next few months for Sunday Service.
Next league date is Sunday, August 6 at 9 AM; played from the Red/Short pads.
Don't forget my bird on 12 too!
