Has any discussion been had with the parks department about doing something about the drainage on the front nine? Not sure if anything can be done, but it sure would be nice. The back nine drains pretty well, but the front nine is a swamp in the winter/spring even if it's been over a week since the last storm.
Yes there has been, but because of historical area, very limited to what can be dug and such. Even digging of basket sleeves had to watch to see if anything pulled from ground. There is some discussion being had by parks and course redevelopers of trying to do something but no final answer I know of yet.
Played it this weekend and it was in great shape. When the rains come, it is muddy. There are existing trenches in fron to the tee pad #6 that can be worked on that can provide good drainage. The park does like water collection in certain areas so that certain rare flowers grow. That is why they held the Stamp at the Swamp at the Poo:)
