Nate let's make sure we get something clear. yes in 2010 as a tournament director at a professional event I required participants to follow the rules and not smoke marijuana on the course while playing. When you play in a professional event you should act in a professional manor and not break the rules. Since then the person who was disqualified from that event has become a great ambassador for the sport and although he may smoke mj in private, on the course he conducts himself in a manor that does not cause people outside the sport question the validity of the game. The next time you see a NASCAR driver, PGA tour player, NFL player, NHL player, etc break out a joint or hitter during a professional event or competition I'll be more than happy to concede the point. Until then if you have a problem with me talk to me and get the facts before acting like a fool and spouting off ignorantly. The rules are announced at the beginning of the event if you choose not to follow them and get caught you deserve your punishment.
And that Lawrence dude is the reason I don't play as many events as I once did. Not because I want to smoke weed when I compete but because so many players are too cool for school. If their not ****s, they are nazis golfers who believe they deserve to wear a badge. I'm a TD too. Maybe the dude was a dick, I don't know, but I'd side with the dick over a narc any day.
Nate, I only posted they way I did because in reality the guy that was DQed is over it and him and I have both made our peace with each other but people that were not even involved keep bringing up old news. If the guy who was DQed is over it the rest of the community should be over it as well. W ...

Nate, I only posted they way I did because in reality the guy that was DQed is over it and him and I have both made our peace with each other but people that were not even involved keep bringing up old news. If the guy who was DQed is over it the rest of the community should be over it as well. We are moving the sport forward, running clinics, getting new courses installed, and working on getting local and national media attention. Bottom line what is done, is done and in the past. Posts like this that continue to bring up the subject and do not know the full story are unneeded and inflammatory.
I agree man. I get that its acceptable to let young future athletes watch their favorite players sink their beaks into Big Macs, and pound Gatorade too.

I started playing discgolf because a hippy invited me to Cass Benton to smoke a joint and play a round
Nick there is a difference between a casual round and a professional event.

Gotta side with Nick on this one.
