Our course has officially been grandfathered in by the Salem Historical Society! That means less red tape and no application fees to continue with my project of upgrading this course to a set of Bentley baskets.
That sounds like good news, though how does working with any intity of the city of salem make it good news? except for the fact that it's on private property, (state that is).
How are you coming along with the baskets anyways, are you going to install them as you get them or all at once. I can't wait for bentleys there although I used to playing tones there but basket will be awesome, My kids keep asking when?

If we were not grandfathered in we would have been required to complete an application to modify the course that requires a $500 application fee. And we could have been told no to the application request. I provided sufficient data showing our course had been there for over a decade now. The hospital has only been a historical district for 4 years.

I am trying to get in touch with Thomas Bentley to get the status on the first baskets I ordered. I am hoping delivery of the baskets ordered is soon. We are hoping to get the first one installed at the 9th pin. We are going to have different departments in the hospital sponsoring holes on the course. We do have a plan for tee pad signage. Not sure if we can do a kiosk with a course map on it or not.
That sounds good can't wait to see the course transfomation, are there any plans in the works for the tones as they get replaced like making the north course playable or a new course south on the back side by the prison maybe, it would be a shame to not reuse them some where.
Awesome work, Jeff. And double to what Jeff said. Those tones are real fun, and I'd still like a chance to ring them from time to time. Any plans for them?
