Probably heading out to Stony in the morning if I don't have any animal problems in the morning. May try to clear off some pads before BOBIS at Firefighters at 1.

Robert Shaffer   March 1, 2014 at 11:44am

we were going to try to make it to stoney today but dont see that happening maybe firfighter at 1

John Minicuci   March 1, 2014 at 7:53pm

We were at FF today at 1 pm ffor Bobis Sat Doubles. I spent almost 2 hours on tee pad 2 at Stony. I honestly do not see this course being playable by Sunday.

Robert Shaffer   March 1, 2014 at 7:59pm

so where is the tourney going to be then lol

Steve "Skooba" Wilmoth   March 1, 2014 at 9:00pm

I played 18 holes at stoney today the course is unplayable in my eyes

Brandon Redmond   March 2, 2014 at 12:12am

is it the pads that will be the issue or the rest of the course? people need to start thinking of this when they go out and play. bring a shovel. keep the pads clear. it does nothing but help everyone. I can't afford to drive out there 3 days in a row but I will see what I can do. Wednesday I a ... more

Ben Bobowski   March 2, 2014 at 12:33am

Yeah I can see what I can do too. I live right by the course and have some time this week to help out

John Minicuci   March 2, 2014 at 1:13am

The depth of the snow, in my opinion, can't be any better at River Bends as it is at Stony. I spent an hour and a half today on tee pad 2 (long only). I was able to get to the pad, most of it anyways, but there was an inch of ice on it still. At that rate, with 20 more pads needed to be done, I ... more

Jay B   March 2, 2014 at 8:53am

would be great if some people would step up and volunteer to do some work beside the SAME people that have already busted their ass to keep tees clean around the area, a bag of salt costs $5-8 you can all buy new discs for $30 but no one will step up and donate a few bucks to buy some salt, if 5-10 ... more

John Minicuci   March 2, 2014 at 9:29am

I talked with 2 people about salt and that shouldn't be a problem. If we move BOBIS to Stony this Saturday I will have more than a few bags of salt to spread. The issue is getting the tee pads, both long and short on the front 18 cleared. Ben and Brandon have said they would go there this week. I might be able to get there later today for a few hours.

Steve "Skooba" Wilmoth   March 2, 2014 at 11:35am

I brought a snow shovel yesterday and it was all but useless the pads are horrible, I wish I could help this week to clear but im working all week I would suggest a gator from stoney with a plow in it lol or melting them down with a blow torch a normal snow shovel wont get you far with the pads

Nate Buban   March 2, 2014 at 12:40pm

Move to River Bends. Shorter rounds, less snow and tee pads with a small amount of salt. Not hours of backbreaking work, just my 2 cents.

Robert Shaffer   March 2, 2014 at 12:50pm

firefighters is clear all 18 pads shovel as of noe.. think move here

Joshua Ballinger   March 2, 2014 at 4:39pm

I went out there today and I just can't see there being enough time to get all the pads clear

John Minicuci   March 2, 2014 at 4:55pm

Agreed. It seems like Firefighters is the best bet at this point ...

Ben Bobowski   March 2, 2014 at 5:09pm

Yeah it is terrible out there... I did hole 3 and started hole 4. We would need a lot more help clearing em off

Becky Carlisle   March 2, 2014 at 7:25pm

just FYI I did make it to all 18, took me 2 1/2 hours, snow was deep!

Nate Buban   March 2, 2014 at 9:11pm

Solo round?

Brandon Redmond   March 3, 2014 at 2:31am

so is it worth driving out there to work on pads or are we giving up?

Chris Leo   March 3, 2014 at 8:04am

Brandon it's a lost cause I wouldn't.
