Can someone please post the info for the upcoming tournament to raise money for new baskets. I think there was two or thee events? Not really sure?
Thanks!
I know that DU is hosting one as well, it looks like on March 29th (in Herington I believe). Also hosting one at Fairmont in the next couple of months.
It should be noted that so far this Tuttle Creek endeavor is not an official DFOK project. However, it could evolve into one. Thus far Alan Fox is making excellent progress with the State Parks staff & Dennis Vasholtz (Disc Unlimited) has volunteered some of his resources & connections to support the cause.
To clarify, the March 29 DU Open is not a fundraiser tournament for the Tuttle project. Rather Dennis will be selling Milligan just like every year at the DU Open however this year those proceeds will go towards the local Tuttle project, instead of the national PDGA Edge Fund.
lol, not to be nitpicky but what classifies improving a course like raising money for new baskets an official or unofficial DFOK project? Improving Manhattan disc golf is the goal, right? Why label it official or unofficial?
DFOK is starting to become known as a group that promotes disc golf in the area. We want to help that perception along by making sure that communications from DFOK are reliable reflections of what DFOK stands behind. We aren't just talking amongst ourselves anymore: there are people paying atte ...

We aren't just talking amongst ourselves anymore: there are people paying attention who could help or hinder the growth of the sport here. We still need to do a good job of communicating amongst ourselves, but keep in mind the larger audience as well.
Exelent question Mitchell. There's plenty back story that probably do not know since you're a recent transplant. (1). There are 3 Manhattan organizations that are highly involved in disc golf, LCM, DFOK and the K-State DG club... plus I've heard rumors about a Manhattan Highschool clu ...

Plus there's communities in the area building courses (for example last summer Randolph KS, assisted by Mitch Innes) that are building courses too.

There is one this Saturday at Tuttle ran by Alan Fox. No player's pack, but half of the money raised is put towards the payouts.

Thanks Travis!

OK, got ya. I didn't realize there were 3 clubs. Thanks Rick.
No offense taken, Mitchell. Thanks for being interested.
