It is hard to believe season is over half way through. We have had a great turnout, averaging 7.5 players a week. There are eight players still in contention for qualifying for the bonus round, which should have a pot exceeding $100. We have a great group of guys coming out, in rain or shine. They have been generous with their time after the league as well, helping prepare the course for Hotlanta and clearing the new nine hole.
The Fall/Winter season will begin in October. We make a few changes from what we have learned these first two seasons. The handicaps will be calculated differently. They will be an average of the lowest five scores from your last 10 games. There will also be an adjustment to new players’ first three handicaps. This is TBD. The purpose of these changes is to mitigate the impact of extremely high scores recorded in the first few rounds. This will add a level of fairness to the established players and encourage more experiences players to join us next season. We hope to see you there.
