I ask all leagues playing for cash to run a side optional 50/50, NM did in past summers, with 50 going to course fund. there is no club or park system to pay for any maintenance everything comes out of my pocket, but i dont own the course. its pretty reasonable. and paying into a ctp is an option for each person. not a reuirement.
why would the leagues pay for that you have a million casuals come threw and throw trash everywhere and when the league players are there we pick it up and throw it away tax the casuals not the leagues
because theres no other way to raise any $? i keep the course free for all, twiice lakeshore has asked if we want to chargee to play. it is always optional to enter 5050, its extremely reasonable. for money bets.
its not even an issue, if said league or players dont like it not 1 person has to do the 5050, it would not be necessary if there was a club that worked the course or a park system in place. as it is i do everything but mow the grass and i spnd 100$s out of my pocket on the course each year, beyond the 6 holes i bought and havent even been fully paid for yet by fundraiser

Not only that, Ben you complained about the OB which werent played because they are clearly not marked! You complained about the ctp on hole 12 which clearly stated "Longest Drive CLOSEST TO THE PIN IN FAIR PLAY" Honestly, you should start a league instead of telling everyone else how to run theirs! I always respect the rules of Lakeshore but i would rather play a more technical course like Willow or Rolling. I only play Lakesnore for my peers and to commonly support The Throw shop....

Playing long or short tees is up to the league administration, not the local pro on his home course!

If youre gonna claim Lakeshore as a public course free for any player or league, then you should bring up the 50/50 ctp option before the round. If you want to play OB sandtraps then please make sure they are clearly marked! Dont complain about what comes out of your pocket or what you contribute. Just because your given a car doesnt mean you get free maintenace and free gas!

And Jesse you do a fine job running league I wasn't trying to make you run your league a different way. I was only suggesting using sandtraps and seeing if a majority wanted to play long tees. I wasn't trying to force either, obviously. Sandtraps are marked today, but I can't make you play them, that's up to you.

How do you think it went, Sam? I've done that for 2 years, asked Tuesday PDGA single to run one, 24 Chains (when they play for cash) to run one. I asked Jesse to run it that way before the round.
If anyone had a problem with it should have said it before, could have ran a separate one, maybe a pre-round ctp.
