Great round - 16 players which made for even more fun. Great to have Brooke Plantz, Ben Ciccarelli, Scott White and Johnny "B" out for the first time this winter. If anyone knows how to get a hold of Johnny Blansett let me know - Thanks.
The temp were colder than this last weekend and although it got down felling like 16 degrees at 4:00 the coldest recorded temp for Ann Arbor during the round felt like 18 degrees, so we have to enjoy the double fun and not double points but I suspect we can anticipate some double points rounds soon.
The cold did not put much of a damper on the scores. Jason Jopps and Derek Trinkle pulled out a -16. Jason just missed an Ace and second later Jamie Mosier threw a beautiful S curve through the narrow direct route to #6 basket to smash and stay for an Ace. Jason Kirkaldy helped Jamie secure the tie for First at -16. The extra 25 Ace points jumped Jamie up the Ypsi Dubs leaderboard from 22nd to 8th place and put $63 in his pocket - but the MiCPS-Winter 50 Points helped jump Jamie up from 20th place to 4th place overall - NICE!. The first place finish for Jason Jopps moved him past Jeff Poissant and Foz to take over the top position.
Thanks to Scott White who donated the Detroit Disc Golf Club GLOW disc for our CTP and congrats to Ben Ciccarelli who won the CTP landing inches from the basket on Hole #1 - Nice Shot!!! Ben...
